I like the guy. Hell of a player. But after the Baylor / UT game he said, "Baylor just won their first heisman trophy". I was like, o really?

In his defense all week what the talking heads were saying is that he needed to back up the OU game with a strong performance against a good texas defense. He then has 350 yards of offense and 4 touchdowns it was a somewhat reasonable thing to say

If his football career doesn't pan out (which it will), he has already been admitted into law school after graduating undergrad ahead of schedule. The guy is very, very smart and is going to be successful regardless of what he chooses to do.

You sound like a bitter moron.

Typically heisman winners have to be on a good team
Sorry, I was mistaken, could have swore that the Heisman was suppose to go to the best player in the nation, not the best player on the best team. Guess we should let Tyrann know to make his trophy case a little bigger.

His attitude sucks? You are most likely a relative failure compared to these elite athletes. Laughing at them failing and reveling in someone else's misfortune is the true mark of an envious little bitch who's life is not good enough to just enjoy on its own merit

I'm quite sure you're a disgraceful human being. Maybe an LSU player will have a career ending injury next month and you can really have a good laugh. Pussy.

shouldn't ever wish for a player to get injured or have a bad career, but i agree with his point that Griffin won't do as well in the NFL. He'll probably turn into a receiver & people will look back at the 2011 Heisman & wonder how he got the award over Richardson, Luck & Mathieu.

Speculating on a player's future is perfectly acceptable and is done ad nauseum on ESPN. If they started making statements like "I can't wait for so and so to fail so I can laugh and feel better about myself", they'd be fired and ridiculed, as they should.

No need to apologize. I look at it this way: Auburn's 2010 team was probably no better than AU's team this year. But they had Cam, and went undefeated in the SEC and won the NC. Yet Baylor with RG111, couldn't even win 10 games. Finished 5-3 in the Big12.

Most votes win. You don't get trophies for finishing fifth.

I think we should stopmtrying to predict how players are going to translate from CFB to the NFL. How many people used the Gruden interview to validate their point that Cam Newton would suck in the NFL based on the fact that he rarely to a snap under center.

Frankly, I doubt that was a spontaneous statement on behalf of Griffin. This statement has no context without knowing what he was asked.

You have obviously never seen him play.

192 QB rating and 72% completion rate is just obscene.. downfield passes too.

after his bowl game he'll have 4,000 passing yards with ~40 TDs and 6 INTs. that's unreal.

Yes, it was RG3's fault Baylor's scoring d was 109th in the nation surrendering 35.7 pts/game.

He pretty much said he locked it up after the UT game.

Far be it for someone to campaign for an award or trip to the title game.

I'm not a big MLB baseball fan so I don't know everything about it. But I listened to an interview with a MVP voter. He voted for a guy named Braun, I think, from the Brewers. He went on to talk about everything good that Braun did this season. Then he was asked if Braun was the best player. The guy said no he isn't. Some guy from the Dodgers is. So why didn't he vote for the Dodgers player? He said because the Dodgers were a bad team and if you want to win the MVP then you have to help your team to a successful season.
