Too early to make him a member of the "Bust Club". Speaking of which, how are the original members of the "Bust Club" (Ingram, Richardson, Lacy) doing this year ?
And who was it that asked about the trolling phenomenon?

True this is one of the knocks anybody can put on Saban's recruiting but he is fixing that with Cornnwell and Barnett.

Sure!

How exactly does winning rookie offensive player of the year translate to bust?

"Saying bammer players do not transition to the NFL is absolute fact."

"Cam Newton by himself has been to the pro bowl as many times as all the Alabama players under Saban have made it combined."

Where/how in your mind are you relating these 2 statements? Quoting the line from Forrest Gump, "Stupid is as stupid does".

Should have stayed one more year at Auburn.

Why? Not likely he would have gone higher than #2 overall next year. He maximized his rookie contract by leaving when he did. Smart move on his part. Not his fault the Rams drafted him too high. Sorry not sorry.

What is Tre Mason's average right now? Rookie of the year stats I'm sure.

This thread is stupid. Bama has some good players in the NFL and also has had some bust. However, to label GR a bust this early is stupid. To give a college coach credit for pro bowls is also stupid. Great players are great no matter who coaches them. Talent will make it in the NFL no matter the system. Cam makes it because he has talent despite having a horrible offensive line and (this year) less WR threats and a pedestrian OC. The same can be said of many Bama players. Hoping for the best for GR. I never fully understood using the #2 pick on what all Scouts said was a project with a very high ceiling. But they don't pay me to run the Rams.

Not a bust yet, but people are starting to make noise about his performance this year. His producting will go down with a heathy AR.

Now this is something I can agree with. Cam is not running Gus's offense in the NFL. I believe he would have been successful in the NFL regardless of where he played college ball because he is a phenomenal athlete. To say guys are a bust halfway through their rookie season is crazy talk. And if you really think about it, just making an NFL team is a great accomplishment.
