That's why he will start inside and then move to tackle. The Rams already have Jake Long at LT so Greg will have plenty of time to grow into what they want him to be.

With his talent, he should be able to become pretty damn good at run and pass protection in short time.

Exactly what I said above.

You gotta be pretty salty to go after GRob. Absolutely no one of any worth agrees with you.

Except for nfl.com

quote:

ANALYSIS
STRENGTHS Has long arms and excellent overall body mass. Outstanding run blocker with the strength and power to wash down half of the line. Creates a surge and generates power from his lower body. Good get-off and body control. Excellent reach-blocking, chipping and releasing to the second level. Very good balance in his set and is quick to cut off the rush. Can maneuver his hips, shuffle, slide and mirror. Has a strong punch and replaces his hands. Very athletic in vertical sets.

WEAKNESSES Could stand to refine his technique in pass protection and do a better job finishing blocks. At times will quit after contact and let defenders come underneath or get over the top -- handwork is too passive. Developing eyes and awareness vs. the blitz -- still learning how to adjust to overload pressure and could improve switching off blocks. Aggressively overextends and occasionally loses balance and falls off blocks.

Two of the biggest plays of the year for Auburn and Robinson was holding on both of them. He had a sleeper hold on a UGA lineman when they hit the miracle pass and he executed a very nice tackle wrapping up a Bama DLineman from behind enabling Marshall to get to the corner and hit Coates on the play that tied the Iron Bowl late. Hell he was even holding on the pic shown to start this thread he grabbed the guy and pulled him down.

He is a serial holder and will get flagged in the NFL.

Eye in the sky don't lie. GRob with a nice tackle on the interior. I'll give him credit though, he was the only AU lineman that wasn't 5 yards down the field.

Some of this reminds me what Alabama fans told us about Cam Newton when he went pro...
