We got a field of those trees on campus, but they aren't in the grove.

This is grand coming from a bama fan. The drug-using, gun-toting, textbook selling, tailored suit, steroid using, yacht fishing, girlfriend hiring, family relocating, car gifting, domestic violence condoning program on the planet.

Just hand deliver an envelope with a cease-and-desist letter inside, with no stamp or any traceable record of it ever being delivered and you're okay.

we are concerned that you guys are letting in kids that can't read... while we admire the help... you have to hold the university up to some standards. not everyone is meant to go to college especially those that can't read.

Please. If you think State hasn't bent over to get acdemically questionable kids in you are nuts. I'd be willing to bet that several schools in the SEC, including State, used the Wayne County method to get kids qualified.

I don't understand the confusion of OM internet fans (not you). Most seem to think that the university has bent over to take it from the NCAA, yet they think CHF deserves to still be there. OM is fighting the NCAA like hell to keep CHF in place, imo.

I know. The thing is Nutt had a coupld of good years too. And at least didn't get caught cheating.

Honestly, even if Freeze were clean, I'm not sure he is a great coach. He won with historically great players (for Ole Miss) despite a number of bone headed high school calls. IMHO, his losses have been as bad as his wins were good. We beat Bama, but can't beat Arky, lost to State, and were DESTROYED in the Peach Bowl. He should have done more with the talent he had.

Add on the cheating and he needs to GO.

Thanks for the honest response. I have empathy with OM fans who want to keep CHF, and I see your point

I like to flame and troll as much as anyone, but a good conversation is nice (every now and then)

Really though, what happens when Hugh pulls a class in the 12-15 range next year?

Well, nothing really. That's about the number of scholarships he will have after the NCAA lowers the boom. Why would we be surprised when he signs that many kids?

Freeze needs to be fired ASAP. There is no reason to fight for this clown. In all honesty, he never should have been hired in the first place.

For the life of me I can't understand why the Ole Miss Administration has/was intent on retaining all of those guys after the 1st NOA was released. And I don't know why they are defending and clinging on the Freeze right now in light of the few items they publicly released from the 2nd NOA?

One would think that the best way to show contrition and make an effort to provide an atmosphere of compliance to the NCAA would be to cut the folks loose immediately at the first sign of an infraction. But OM has acted stubborn and rebellious and it looks like it has come back to bite them in the arse. Lack of Institutional Control and a HC tagged with Failure to Monitor carries heavy penalties.

Because the only thing Freeze has been accused of in either NOA has been not monitoring the staff well enough.

Don't believe this is true at all. Might want to read thru all those violations again.
