Exactly. I get in an argument with a Georgia fan pretty much once a game because I say mean things about them. And I curse. UGA gets me all kinds of salty. Last place anyone would want me is down there.
I could see it now. One of these 160 lb painted up shitstains turning around and telling me to shut up after I call our OL a huge heaping of liquefied dogshit because he had a shot with Kenarious Gates once and he's a nice guy and blah blah blah.

That's the thing. They don't do it for the love of Georgia. They do it because OMG WE'RE ON TV. They do looney shite and make it a show. Those people piss me off more than frat stars who don't know the score of the game because they've been talking to Wendy Wholefist the entire time. I am there exclusively to watch Georgia.
I drink and socialize but once I get through the gates it's a business trip.

I had a real bad feeling about that game (like every game) but this time when UGA was getting it's shite stoved I was seeing what I expected. That's why the loss was so much worse because they actually came back. Anyway because of the sour taste I had pregame my buddy and I got belligerent at about 9 am and then added on to it at Sky Bar. Then we snuck in 2 floppy flasks of the Kickin' Chicken 101.
That game I pissed off some old Georgia frick because my friend and I kept exclaiming that Grantham had them right the frick where he wanted them in the first half. Kept saying that we were gonna do so poorly on defense that AU would "tucker itself out scoring so much" and we'd come back. He'd tell me to pipe down, not be so negative, it's old blah blah blah. Then he'd call Mike Bobo a "stupid fricking idiot". Well, grandpa left with his ugly family and my friends and I, as always, remained and sure enough the came back.
That little story is the microcosm of my fanhood. I am as negative and harsh on Georgia as anyone but it's not because I don't love the program. People will constantly bitch about what I say but then they'll leave in the third because they don't wanna see their darlings get hurt. No, I stay at games until it's done. Or I am removed.
I realize my salty language is a part of why some fans hate me and now that I am becoming a smidge more polite I am gonna work on holding that back. Mainly by not chugging a fifth of whiskey every pre-game. But I will never stop speaking my mind.

Good to know. I'm always looking to expand my vocabulary (stupid GRE study list didn't include any flavorful language) and while I've never cared for the word count, I do like the word countnugget. I think I may make use of that one.

My roommate is from North Carolina and at orientation I tried to brace him for the let down this year. He kept talking about how Gurley and Marshall could carry us into the CFB playoff. I tried to brace him...But it takes time to become jaded like this

Fools. They're all fools. I lived with a kid from Wisconsin one year. Great guy. Never watched UGA until coming there though and the kid would argue with me till blue in the face about my thoughts on Richt, my negativity, and etc. I was usually infuriated that any douchenozzle had the stones to tell me anything about Georgia (one of my very top pet peeves) but after a while I remembered how I was when young.
Fast forward to now and he'll readily admit I was right about a lot of our arguments. He too had learned what we are. Your friend will learn soon. Hell, have him read this. He'll look at you and say "frick, this guy is just a negative prick. We'll be fine and win the title!"
He'll learn that Georgia made me that way. He'll also punish his liver like we all do. Why else would UGA have the bar scene it does? Exactly.

I can still remember in 2007 when I was still a virgin to all these letdowns... I remember watching the rankings part like the Red Sea all but guaranteeing a UGA MNC.
Then my dad saved me from being a full blown DisneyDawg. If he could read this, thank you dad. You added 5 or so years to my life.

My grandpa tried to just impart the love of Georgia and he was always even-keeled but I have too much of my father's blood to not get angry. I admire my grandpa, he saw as much heartbreak as anyone but he never yelled. Just shook his head in disgust and headed back to the motorcoach for a scotch or 7.
