What if there is a blackout? That's the stupidest argument I've ever heard. What if there is a blackout at the stadium?
"Pussy" Yeah, because thinking annoying people are annoying makes me a pussy.
I can tell I could kick your arse from just a few words. Wait, what's that you say? I can't? Neither can you idiot.
Blow me and blow it out your arse bitch

Perhaps you think they are annoying because they do not prefer your company since behave like you have a corndog up your arse. I heard it's name is Shirley. So maybe it is you who is the annoying one.

More fun and convenient to watch at home on an hdtv, bathroom isn't 5 minutes away, don't have to pay for tickets, don't have to pay for overpriced food, clearly see replays, can actually see what's happening, can actually see what's happening, can actually see what's happening, no annoying people, do I have to go on? I agree 100%. When I was a young student I loved going to the games. Now, I only care about going to the biggest couple of games.
Advantages to being at the game:
1. experiencing the crowd noise/atmosphere
2. Being able to see the whole field and the development of plays
3. Tailgating (if you enjoy this, which I do not)
Advantages to being at home:
1. My 120" HD projector lets me see the game and keep up with stats and replays better than I could ever imagine at the stadium
2. I don't have to watch the awful halftime performances by the bands
3. I get to watch all of the good games that day instead of just the Bama game
4. I don't have to drive all day to get to the stadium and drive all night to get home
5. My leather recliner is heaven compared to an aluminum bleacher
6. I can drink all the beer I want and eat all the wings I want during the game
7. The bathroom is a 10 second trip away
8. There is not a fat drunk man behind me screaming "Julio was wide open" on every play
9. I can buy the most amazing home theater system that I can use all year long for half the price of season tickets
10. Most importantly, the girl does not bitch about me watching football all the time as long as I am not gone every weekend.

I agree. I hate going into tiger stadium now. Back in the 90's when we sucked, it was fun. everyone there was a true diehard.
Now, it is miserable having to listen to all these jackasses that didn't care until we started to win voice their opinions on the players and coaching loud as hell and annoying, especially since they have no idea how football is played.
I hate these new fans. I would rather watch in a bar or my house.

That's what tailgating all day and going home to watch small games is for. Wtf is with you brah?!?
Have you ever been to a big game?

Me too... But I won't let terrorists win. You are the problem! And the reason these bandwagon fans are filling the stadium is because you Intelligent fans don't buy tickets or want to leave the comfort of your own couch.

I don't go to games myself very regularly anymore. I especially don't miss early September games where the temp is in the 90's and multiple old folks are being wheeled out on gurneys because of heat stroke.
I'll take my flat screen, fridge, whiskey, chicken fingers, toilet, and cat in my lap, any day over scorchers at Bryant Denny.

quote:Grew up in Louisiana going to LSU games starting in the 60's. Made every home game in Tiger Stadium from 72 to sometime in the late 80's. Started getting a little burned out with the "Been there, Done that" thing taking over in the 90's, but still made most of the night games. (Eliminated ALL day games) Got reinvigorated during the Saban years and made all the night games in TS until my house was heavily damaged in Katrina. Moved in with my fiance' in Houston then (2005) and didn't attend a single game while in H-Town from 05-07.

You know what? I didn't miss it. I'm strictly there for the game and NOT the party before or after and I found that there was so much to do in Houston on weekends that I didn't miss going to the games that much at all. Being away from Louisiana (And only an hour from BR in Mandeville) had kind of decompressed me from LSU football and made it easier to go without it.
Moved to the Florida Panhandle (Off 30-A) in the fall of 08 and have attended 2-3 games a season since then. (Big OOC and SEC night games only) But being totally decompressed, I can take it or leave it now. It's not an absolute necessity that I'm in that stadium now, like it used to be.
