I guess none of the kickoff classic games are excited enough about the bus to want them in their games during those years....

You would rather go to Dallas than go to LA and have an away game there?

You ever been to the LA Colesium? I have and wouldn't call it a great experience. i went to the Michigan game and have been to Cowboy's games as well.....much better....though SoCal would be more fun....

Went to the Rose Bowl against UCLA in 2000 and again for the natty against Texas....that is a great place to see a game. Colesium is a dump and in south central LA.

USC at jerryworld is boring to you?

then nothing will make you happy

That will be a great game. But I am sick of having neutral site games every year. Our home schedule year in and year out sucks arse because we refuse to schedule a home and home with any decent teams. I get that finances play a part in that, but if Clemson and FSU can play 2 big time non conference games every year home and home, I know Alabama can afford to do it. Half the fun is visiting the campuses of other schools and experiencing their traditions. A neutral site opener is nothing more than a minor league NFL game.

Well we did have the Penn State series....I guess its tougher to arrange the home and home than a one-off neutral site.

Y'all called your cousin to schedule the annual reunion.

Not really. We have a long history with GT, would love to have a home and home with them for that reason.

We have a long history with Wofford. Doesn't mean you wouldn't laugh at me if I said we wanted to play them because of our "historical rivalry".

Clemson may not be FSU, but you're not gonna get a much better OOC game unless you head west to Texas/Oklahoma or up to Penn State. As long as Clemson keeps a personality like Dabo around and continues to bring in the talent they've brought in then this isn't going to be the kind of game that you have nothing to gain from.

IF somehow Clemson keeps Chad around until 2016 and Watson is what everyone thinks he is then this game becomes a massive showdown.

Yep the only home and home since Saban has been at Alabama. And it was awesome! Remember how cool that was having Nick Saban, Joe Paterno, and Bobby Bowden all hanging out together on the 50 yard line with the crowd going crazy? The Penn State fans were in awe of how awesome our facilities and gameday experience was and spread that story all over Big Ten country. That is how you market your program. Almost no one from Pennsylvania would have ever stepped foot in Tuscaloosa, AL if not for that game. They would have continued assuming we are all white trash till their deaths because of what they read on the internet. Instead, you share your campus with others and they realize its a great place to watch a football game. I miss that so much about going to other campuses.

Oh and it is not that tough to schedule a home and home. We had a home and home with Michigan St and then Bama cancelled it because MSU refused to change it to a one game neutral site. I don't blame them one bit for refusing to either. MSU wants to give their fans some value for a season ticket. Bama does not give a shite about the fans.

Not even close to the same. You didn't have a parade devoted specifically to the Wofford game. GT and Auburn used to have a REAL rivalry, not just a game we used to play a lot

GT doesn't do much for me, but at least it would be something different. I would prefer a pac12 team or a big 10 team or Miami or even half the teams in the big 12 simply because we rarely play those teams.

while better would be good, i think people (at least i am) are asking for different.

Between the same team we've played plenty with the same tired storied lines of inter-connectivity between the schools. Same coaches, same design, same colors (just yours got sun-faded), blah blah blah.

Don't get your feelings hurt, I'm not saying clemson sucks, i'm saying playing clemson yet again sucks.

GaTech, while not a juggernaut, is not Wofford, so your comparison is invalid.

Once again, it's nothing against Clemson, I had a great time there, other than losing, a few years ago would just like some strange.

Yeah the wreck tech pajama parade

Originated in like 1896 when our engineering students greased the rails and made Tech's team train slide five miles past Auburn and had to walk back

C'mon man....you don't mean that.....we got Whisky and USC and that is nice...and Michigan was awesome.....can't say I am excited about WVU...nor was I particularly excited about the Sparty series...neither are marquee enough....agree some home and homes like Penn State are good for eveyone.
