I thought they were considered one of Auburn's bigger rivals? You don't like beating them down?

wow, I think that would be the first time Im seeing this. I think the stadium sucks, especially for college football

I love the campus experience as much as the next guy but Texas Stadium is far better in terms of amenities and state of the art. It just is....but if don't like it, then OK.

How is a game in texas easier for either fanbase to attend then LA or T-Town

I just explained it to you.

you would be very surprised

USC travels well like Penn State....but it wouldn't be like UA vs. Michigan which I would say was damn near close to 50/50....which is the point of neutral site.....

I'm sorry but Texas Stadium is a better experience vs. BDS or Jordan Hare.

Texas Stadium is currently an empty lot with rubble laying all around.

So no. Its not a better experience.

What does a neutral site game do for national exposure? I get it if they were crappy teams, but a game like USC/Bama is going to have the same national exposure either way.

I think the thinking goes that a neutral site game at a big NFL stadium makes it more of a "television event". I like the home and home better.

sure, if you like to buy $14 mediocre burgers or $20 watered down frozen margaritas.

if you like to tailgate or hang out at bars before a game JerryWorld absolutely sucks arse.

PS its AT&T Stadium and was previously Cowboys Stadium. Texas Stadium was in Irving and is gone.

Playing in Texas stadium gave Bama more exposure to those recruits from that state. How many Texans are on API'S team. That speaks volumes for little brothers motive on neutral site.

I doubt very much that API has had very few opportunities like this, so in conclusion, naturally why would they be supportive of such signature games.

Also, anything that Alabama does they're against. Just like the corndogs.

Cant we play a Pac12 or B1G team in regular season? At least someone interesting outside of a bowl?

fricking Clemson. Nothing against them, but we've played them a ton and Dabo is a douche.

I don't think you have to worry too much about AU playing a neutral site game any time soon. The AU Admin doesn't care about venturing outside of a couple of states to play and for some reason they really like to play Clemson.

I've traveled to ATL & Dallas and had a blast every time. I'll have my arse in Hotlanta in 30 DAYS!

There are inherent disadvantages to no being "The State School of…" this is one of them. Any Auburn fan that thinks we just call Notre Dame and set a game up is kidding themselves. It isn't irony that another school (Clemson) struggles with the same scheduling issues and needs Auburn.

Do you believe Auburn gets invitations to games like you mention?

Shows how little i know about your team.

I'd have loved to see y'all gear up for a GaTech rematch instead of CU.

Thankfully your knowledge is very well rounded on all subjects, speaks more for your fanbase

I don't know? Does AU Admin approach other programs like UCLA-NDame-OSU-PSU-USC-VaTech?

It's evident that games with high-profile teams were available. i.e. aTm/UCLA, LSU/Wisky, UA/USC, UGA/ND

I'm sure Jacobs had revenge on his mind, and wanted to give Gus the opportunity to get the upper hand for the two more recent losses to CU. And he probably wanted to give the AU another good home game in '16.

Jerry world is like being stuck in a cubicle on the 47th floor of some no name building. I have been many times, sat in several suites both in the rings and field level, it just doesnt impress me at all. outside of the stadium is just awful as well

I have a feeling Jacobs was thinking the fanbase wants to restore the old rivalries and Clemson is the easiest one. All the surveys and such they have given, give me that opinion
