Why didn't he show all the holding from the UG side? Weird.

Those were all pretty damn blatant. I'm not sure how you can say otherwise.

UF had more penalty yards last year.

We have all been in games where we feel like the Ref isn't keeping an even score. Alabama 2012 championship game being in my opinion one of the most lopsided called games ever but I'm a Georgia fan so of course I am going to notice what happens to our team more than others. I'm sure teams have felt like that against us after games as well.

You realize how silly it is to pick an array of 6 years to make a statistical point, and leave out 6 years within that range?

I never claimed that "us holding AU to low point totals is totally the norm!" My post was in direct response to this quote...

I think we just hit it right. I wouldn't expect it to happen again.

...which implies that we just got real lucky this ONE year in holding them. When in fact, we have shown multiple times since Richt has been here (6 times in the last 12 years actually, or every other year) that we have done exactly that.

Not sure why some of you take such umbrage to that. If anything my post was being more critical of our UGA poster, not of auburn.

Ok fine, let's ONLY go back 4 years. We've done it 3 times in 4 years, 75%. If you want to be literal with a couple and only go 2 years, we've done it 50% of the time, 1/2.

My original point is still valid.

Yep, Leonard Floyd made that video and posted it to vimeo.

It's amazing how many teams hold him and get away with it. I would love to see a running tally on how many times Shon Coleman held him vs AU.

Why even include these sentences? Does a couple mean four at UGA? You want a pat on the back for shutting down Scot Loeffler's offense? Or for shutting down Clint Moseley? How many other teams did that exact same thing those years?

The whole point of the Alabama fans post was that since Gus Malzahn has been the HC at Auburn, not many teams have had success shutting down the offense. Hence him complimenting UGA last season.

No, no it's not.

Tell us again how great your defense did against Hugh Nall twice & Scot Loeffler as if no other defense on the schedule managed those feats.

And the UGA fan said we just had it clicking right that night, probably won't happen again. We're batting .500 against Gus as head coach when it comes to shutting down his offense. I'm not talking about what he's done against anybody else, only us. To say that it probably won't happen again, or hell maybe we just got lucky that night, just doesn't make sense taking all things into account.

And for that matter, using your logic, a shite ton of teams exposed grantham's defense so it's not like '13 should've been a big feat for auburn anyway.

I think the biggest takeaway isn't that our defense is 1/2 on completely shutting down a Gus led AU team, it's that Gus is batting 0.00 going against a Pruitt led UGA defense.

Fair enough, touche, and good day sir.

That said, a claim that it couldn't happen again is obviously dumb, so I guess it just seemed weird that you would have to pull out stats to show that its happened multiple times before

ETA: I initially read it as a "its likely" argument

Whats gets me is they held Auburn to 7 but let us score 38 and run for a billion yards

That's because Gus had one of his WTF playcalling games. We ran between the tackles with ease that opening drive, and then totally went away from it the entire rest of the game. For some reason, he was bound and determined to make Marshall (aka Kodi Burns 2.0) into a passer last year.

Umm, I didn't apply to UGA. I applied to AU, Duke and FSU. I know, kinda an odd hodgepodge, but the ACT allowed me to send my scores to three schools for free. I was going to AU regardless so it didn't really matter, but it was as simple as filling in three schools, none of which turned me down.

Dude, they just enjoy saying that because they know their Harvard of the South produces graduates with crap degrees who make crap money.

Denied from Harvard of the South...quickly accepted by the DeVry of the Southeast. No way to argue it, really.

It's way overblown and (mostly) an untrue stereotype, but personally I think it's fkn hilarious that it gets such a response.

Were you not here for the 5 page thread that listed the average earnings from SEC graduates? UGA was ahead of AU.
