And right there you should have listened to that still small voice in the back of your reptilian brain that cautioned against posting such idiocy.

But thanks for ignoring it.

Sorry man, but here in Georgia many many high school seniors apply to UGA with Auburn as backup. We can spin it however we want but rather than be disrespectful to auburn, I'll say...it would be pretty cool if so many people from other states chose UGA as their second choice to their home state schools. It's actually something to be proud of.

whoever beats us next year it's because we're their superbowl. And if a 2nd team beats us, it's because we didn't care our season was ruined. All the wind in our sails had been taken away by that first loss. There that made me feel better.

Interesting, a quick perusal of both school's admission sites shows us this:

Auburn:

quote:

Transfer (30 semester hours or more)

These students have taken at least 30 hours of college work after graduating from high school at an institution and are transferring said credits to Auburn.

Must have obtained a 2.5 cumulative GPA (2.8 for College of Architecture)

UGA:

quote:

You are eligible for transfer admission consideration to the undergraduate program on UGA's Athens campus if you have:

30-59 completed hours of transferable credit by the application deadline, graduated from high school at least 12 months prior to the term of intended enrollment, completed at least one year of college by the term of intended enrollment, and a 3.20 or higher calculated transfer GPA

what lies will the barners come up with next? I think a comparison of transfer eligibility requirements is a new one.

Were you not here for the 5 page thread that listed the average earnings from SEC graduates? UGA was ahead of AU.

https://www.payscale.com/college-salary-report-2014/full-list-of-schools

Auburn (tied 151st)
Average starting - $45,500
Average mid-career - $87,900

UGA (tied 313th)
Average starting - $43,800
Average mid-career - $79,400

Thanks for playing.

Interesting. Here's another, more credible link that says otherwise.

UGA grads make more

Mid-Career
1. Vanderbilt ($104,000)
2. Texas A&M ($96,100)
3. Florida ($87,900)
4. LSU ($87,800)
5. Georgia ($86,000)
6. Auburn ($84,700)

7. Arkansas ($82,800)
8. Alabama ($81,400)
9. Missouri ($81,000)
10. Mississippi ($79,700)
11. Mississippi State ($79,300)
12. Kentucky ($78,300)
13. Tennessee ($74,600)
14. South Carolina ($71,700)

Ballgame bitches.

Death, taxes, and the Pigs of Arkansas talking shite about Auburn in the offseason are the three biggest guarantees in life.

The Wall Street Journal's figures supposedly came from Payscale Inc. I'm not real sure what's going on here but going directly to the source which quotes figures for 2014-2015. This LINK

shows:

Auburn early career salary - $47,100
Auburn mid career salary - $91,600

Georgia early career salary - $45,900
Georgia mid career salary - $81,500

I hope this helps you Georgia fans properly vet your data. This wouldn't be so bad if not for the fact that the state of Georgia has a higher standard of living than Alabama does which means jobs will typically pay more where the majority of your grads settle down. And yet, in spite of that an Auburn degree is worth more than a Georgia one. So not only do Auburn grads make more coming out college but also in the long term.

Even if we accept your numbers as being more accurate, it still shows Georgia fans are full of shite when they claim Auburn students are jealous or bitter about being denied admission to UGA. I don't know too many people who are seriously jealous about someone making a whopping thousand diollars more per year.

OTOH, Georgia fans are eaten alive with jealousy because Auburn has played for and won more national championships in the last 5 years than Georgia has in the last 30 years. This is not even debatable

Cool, I'm gonna need some actual proof besides you playing Dr. Phil and making shite up before I say it's not debatable though. If this is as rampant as you say then there should be plenty of threads on the UGA board that you can link to to show this. I'll patiently wait for your examples.

Very high ACT score goes a long way lil feller. Hell scored in the mid 20s as an 8th grader when I took it for the Duke university talent search.

I do find it a bit disturbing that you remember a post by me regarding my high school GPA a year or two ago. I know you stalk me online, and that is fine, but just know where you draw the line and keep your obsession online.
