I like the stock answer.

Play it week to week. Whomever shows in practice that he can help us to win better than the other guy.

Fromm is winning. But it is not like he is invulnerable at the position. He's making freshman mistakes like Eason did last season. Fortunately, he has a much better run game and defense to rely upon so it is not all on his shoulders each week.

Yea I don't think you can pull Fromm at this point. Granted he does have an infinitely better defense and special teams than Eason had last year, you just can't pull the guy that's winning.

Fromm should start with Eason waiting for a shot to win the job back.

I'm a contrarian. Now's the time to go with Eason. Three bye weeks before UF gives him time to settle in.

I'm on record that we shouldn't change the starter unless there is a damn good reason for it. With that said, against Vandy and Mizzou, there should be ample opportunities to get Eason in the game and actually *run* the offense and settle the score on who gives us the best chance. We're not having to win 'in spite' of Fromm by any means, but it's not like he's winning these games really... but credit where credit is due, he's been incredibly efficient - particularly for a freshman.

The best part IMO is that we're in a position right now that it almost doesn't matter who is playing QB with the way our Def, ST, and run game are going... Just don't cost us the game with major mistakes and the team should have a shot in every game during the regular season. Auburn looks to be the biggest test, followed by UF.

I think Fromm should start, Eason can try to earn his job back in garbage time, if and when the opportunity presents itself. Eason is notoriously inaccurate passing the ball, Fromm is much more accurate. that is not to say that Eason hasn't made big throws, but Fromm brings consistency to the table.

With our defense and STs play, we only need the equivalent of Bama's former game manager style QBs McCarron and McElroy. A smart and efficient QB to run the offense. We don't need a gunslinger. If we were still embroiled in weekly 45-42 style shootouts, I would likely change my opinion. Frommward!

Fromm didn't get UGA to this point. The UGA defense, special teams, and run game in that order are what's powering the machine.

I would like Fromm to keep starting, but I also want the competition between the two to dictate the starter.

Vandy and Mizzou are up next along with the bye week. Sets up nicely to play them both. It should be decided by the Florida game.

Does it even really matter?

Fromm has only 40 attemps over the last 3 games. When you only throw the ball 12 times a game it doesn't really matter who is at QB. Except that I will say Fromm scored twice against UT running a read option that I am not sure Eason has the ability to do. But I think that is a product of UT's D being unprepared and being generally crappy. They tried some RPO stuff against ND and ND closed on Fromm with the quickness, so I think UT made Fromm look a lot more "athletic" than he really is. I mean UT allowed the GT QB to go 249 yards on the ground and set an ACC record for rushing by a QB.

Eason has a much better arm, but isn't as accurate (I don't think....perhaps we improved over summer). Fromm is making freshman mistakes like staring down WR's which cost him another pick against UT. There are positives and negatives, but stay with the hot hand for now.

This is a tough decision for Kirby. Chuck Oliver was saying yesterday that Chaney has missed a big opportunity the last few weeks with the QB. What does Fromm need? Reps. What does Eason need? Reps. What did Chaney do? Threw the ball twice in the second half at UT. I get it..you are closing out the game, same for Samford. But eventually Fromm/Eason is going to have to win the game through the air. Teams like Florida, Auburn, GT and obviously Bama are going to (try) take the run away. ND did a pretty nice job of this. The question will be at that time, will there be enough chemistry with WR's and timing be there when you may have to throw it 25-30 times? It's a good problem to have.

While I get what you're saying, you haven't seen what happens when we put Ramsey in

After 5 games Fromm has accounted for 10 TDs(8 pass, 2 rush). Eason had 17(16 pass, 1 rush) total last year and didn't start this year looking confident at all.

I think Fromm will continue to start as long as we are winning and he is not making it more difficult for us to win. Kirby is doing the right thing. He is creating competition. This has really helped at other positions and will here. Nothing guaranteed.

It is Fromms team now. Injury or if he struggles and plays his way out is the only way he is losing his job.

If you only pass about 14 times a game, you want them to be accurate for the most part, and he is more accurate than Eason.

We didn't allow Fromm to run on the rpo while Eason was hurt, so not sure what your point with that was.
