You're right. The Cardinals are world series winning machines surely they've won way more than the Braves since 1990. Actually the Cardinals and UGA are very similar.

Georgia is an inch away from elite status. The ball just hasn't bounced their way over the last 15 yrs. one or two different plays in pivotal games and they could easily have 3 BCS titles.

Both are very solid clubs in their respective sports and consistently put together good regular seasons but hardly have any significant postseason success, specifically the Cardinals for how much sunshine gets pumped up their arse. You would think the way you and the rest of the fans talk about them they win world series like the Giants or Yankees. In reality they have 2 since 1990, one more than your obsession, the number one team in your heart, the Atlanta Braves.

Probably goes back to '08 when UGA got the Pre-Season SI cover and #1 ranking and then went on get BLACKED OUT. Lots of Dawg fans barking loudly in August, but nary a whimper come November.

I think you'll find that most of us Rant guys are level headed when it comes to UGA's place in the SEC/NCAA world but we all know that one idiot fan that while you love them, sees everything through the proverbial red and black colored glasses.

How again does two Cardinal championships since 1990 and the second most championships all time resemble Georgia Bulldogs...or the Braves?

No one gives a shite about championships the Cardinals won in the 60s just like no one gives a shite about UGAs 1980 national championship. 25 years seems like a solid time frame for relevance. A lot of regular season success, not many championships. Very similar to your beloved Dawgs and Braves, especially the Braves being only 1 behind in our established timeframe of relevance.

But people give a shite about the Yankee's early 20th century championships?

You fail.

I agree. Pro sports are different.

Try telling Steeler fans that their runs in the 70's doesn't mean any thing now.
