Georgia claims to be an elite football program

if that's true, why has Georgia stuck with Richt for 14 years even though his teams have never competed for a National Championship?
Don't elite programs fire their coach within a reasonable time frame if that coach can't at least deliver a national championship appearance? I mean, look at Auburn's handling of the Chiz. His firing took guts and demonstrated that Auburn will do anything to earn another appearance in a national championship...and it worked!
Before you mention Pinkel's long tenure with Missouri...well...Mizzou fans haven't claimed to be an elite program (just yet). We have people like Nebraskafaninwi to do that for us. LOL.
But no Missourian seriously considers us to be an elite program. We just consider Mizzou to be an elite Eastern Division program.

I think this is something a lot of our fans will have trouble accepting. We're a top 15 program all time. Not top 5.

I don't get it. I've never once heard the any of our fans here say "this will be the year" or.."next year is definitely going to be the year". It's one of those message board myths that simply will not die.

You clearly are obsessed with all things athletics from Georgia. It's really sad. Your family must hate you. In regards to your same stupid thread repackaged in another form, UGA isn't and has never been an elite football program.
