I have more of a problem with a man playing a women's game as its really unfair to women.

Ya got me- all girls who play or played sports are gay. Oh and we hate men too rant rant rant.
It's simply a nice commercial saying you don't have to be male to be an athlete. I think y'all are reading too much into it but do your thing.

I turned 37 last week, title 9 predates me.

Women's leagues are set up so women can play and have fun without being dominated by male athletes. Am I missing something here?

I really don't know- drum up interest in women college athletics? I just don't see it as controversial or outright offensive as some of you do. It's just a commercial. God forbid it's about women athletes, please show me lebron in the office chair again!!!

Why not invest that money into scholarships or facilities rather than make a commercial with no point? I think that's most people's issue.

I totally get that- I just thought it was more of an upbeat positive 'you go girl' type of thing (nothing to do with man vs woman) but maybe I am misguided.

quote:Could very well have been. Like the old "I can do anything you can do better." commercial with Mia Hamm was awesome. This commercial literally said "We don't need a commercial to tell you how strong we are."

Ok...so...what is this for then?

"Genders don't play sports. Athletes do."
Because of government mandate, and taking $$$ generated by one gender's sports to provide welfare for the other gender's sports.

Good. Then abolish Title IX
Posted on 6/5/17 at 7:53 am to HailToTheChiz
Tile IX is going to have a huge headache when they legally define all 762 genders.

Watching the women's softball games, I've seen several female umps who could play on most school's offensive line.
