Gary Danielson - Did he go to UA?

Just an aside, but did he go to Alabama?
Or is he like most Alabama fans that didn't go to Alabama...or any college?
I was watching the Cam game against Bama and it's amazing how excited Gary is in the 1st half and how he is so subdued and distraught in the last 3 minutes.
And this is a regular thing...if you go back and watch Bama vs. TAMU Manziel...Gary almost dies on camera.
I used to think he just pom-pomed the highest ranked team so the SEC would get a team in the title game as the unabashed homer he is...but...Auburn was #2 and he was aggressively against them. He was almost arguing that #11 Bama should get into the playoff over "the little guy" even after losing to Cam.
Weird.

I don't know I've always liked Danielson. IMO he's always been pretty insightful and knowledgeable, as well as impartial.

Gary is completely enamored with whichever program is on top of the SEC... not necessarily in the rankings, but which program is consistently at the top.
I used to think he was so pro-Florida during the Tebow years. And he was. But then he switched over to Bama after that '09 SEC Title game. He's been a bama bandwagoner every since. Verne is the same way.
I don't think he's biased towards one team. But his bias towards whichever program is at the top of the league is about as obvious as one can make it. I can hardly watch games called by those two when Bama is playing. It's one giant Saban lovefest.
Then throw in Ali Laforce (sp?), and she thinks Nick Saban invented the idea of oxygen on the sideline, etc. It just gets tiresome.
