I have mixed fealings. He's incredibly insightful and knowledgeable. Probably the absolute best in the business in that regard. But "impartial" is not a word I'd used to describe him. He's a sucker for whichever team is on top of the league. His infatuation with Tebow and Urban Meyer used to be over the top. Now its Saban.

Danielson is knowledgeable and insightful. But he isn't exactly impartial. He has his favorites. There is a noticeable slant to his comments.
He usually does ride Bama nuts pretty hard. It took a herculean effort by Manziel for him to finally give props to the other team. It is what it is.
Edit: as has been noted, the favorites is likely for whoever is dominating the league. Similar to Florida during Urban Meyer.
