Like November 5? Seriously Apex, there are few people on here more contradictory and flawed than you.

Really!!!, what did I say that was contradictory?.

You don't see upsets in college football all the time? You don't' think Iowa State was an upset victory over OSU? (a 4 td favorite on the road)

You Gumps are blinded with envy and jealousy in your arguments. You think you caught Apex in double talk? LOL!

so bama was favored by 3 pts to beat LSU at home? You call that an upset? I call that a betting line.

LSU is a more complete team than Alabama as proved by your kicking game against ours.. We actually have good special teams...

Moreover, JJ will start the game against Bama and it won't be nearly as close this time around IMHO.

We will score touchdowns when we get on the 2 yard line next time....Blee dat!

Do you really want to see LSU beat Alabama 3 times in a row in a span of 13.5 months?

the Hat is poised to go 5-2 against Saban... he is licking his chops

I guess we live in the days of "errbody gets a trophy," but in this case I wouldn't have heartburn over a split trophy.

Also, I've always thought Gary D knew what he was talking about and enjoy his commentary along with his comic sidekick Van Lundeford. Bama fans who took offense to what he said should carry paper bags for future hyperventilating episodes.

LSU would have 2 more victories than Alabama before the game started

If LSU wins out, it's clear they are the NC. If they happen to lose to Bama in the BCSCG, I have no heartburn with a split title.

FWIW I don't want to have anything to do with a split title. If we were to lose in the NCG, Bama is the NC. The school presidents all signed up for the BCS system, and to whine and complain (USC 2003) to get a split title is stupid and childish.

We will play whoever is in front of us on January 9th and let the chips fall where they may.

Gary D is a crack smoker...

For the record, I don't think it would be a bad thing for LSU to go 14-0 and join the club. I'm surprised it hasn't happened since 1958.

beating Bama 3 straight, two this season would feel great, not to mention when Trent leaves beating them again in TS next year.

Paul and his callers about had a meltdown. The one weekly or regular guest he has that doesn't kiss Alabama's arse and they wet their pants.

Cheer up, Gumps ! Kirk Herbstreit is on today with his warm bottle of milk. "Alabama is the best team in the country,Paul." Uncle Kirk will tell you everything you want to hear.

I can sort of understand his logic on this, and wouldn't mind that so much. I just hope we can first get to play in the championship, and of course I hope we win.
I just remember in 92 when we had the first SEC championship, Coach Stallings kept saying, we have won all these games even 1 more than usual, but if we don't win the last one, we have won nothing.
If LSU were playing another undefeated team or even another one lost team in the BCSC game, and the other team won, would he want it to be a shared championship then? If LSU had defeated Florida this year and Florida got back in to play in the SEC championship and then beat LSU, would he want Florida to share that championship with LSU?

IF LSU were to lose and IF LSU was awarded the AP, its still < than the BCS title.

Remember, Gary Danielson started that. Not "the Rant" or "LSU fans say.."

There is no football knowledge to be gained from that show, it is nothing more than a cheap Alabama-inspired copy of the Howard Stern show without the requisite talent.

The BUTTHURT flowing out of the bama fans on that show yesterday was unreal. Bama fans thought Gary was being bias towards the other team during the arkansas and auburn game.

In 2003 the AP poll was a component part of the BCS.

In 2011 the AP poll is independent of the BCS

Didnt he AP say they would name LSU NC if they win and if Bama wins it would be split?

I think thats more than fair. We already beat you and if you beat us its 1-1 and split.

Losing shouldnt help you have an easier way to a NC than winning. Goes against all thats right in the world.

You would think. Though I believe the rematch scenario is a stronger incentive for some of the previous naysayers to come around.

"The chief argument against Alabama is that it will not win its conference. Actually, the Crimson Tide didn't even win their own division. Here's the problem with that argument. Alabama would have won the ACC. Alabama would have won the Big East. Alabama would have won the Big Ten. Alabama would have won the Pac-12. Alabama would have won the Big 12. When Alabama and LSU helped found the SEC in 1932, it's safe to assume they didn't envision a day 79 years in the future when their shared interests and geographical proximity would be the chief reason why they shouldn't be considered the two best teams in the country -- even though they are the two best teams in the country."
