BUT! Can Alabama fans at least admit that receiving the invitation to the MNC should be as SEC champs? Is this not completely backwards coming in the backdoor via computers rather on the feild from your region of the country?
Can you please at least admit that much before the group here? LSU at the time of this game will be 13-0 while Alabama is 11-1 with a loss to LSUWow! 2 Victories behind LSU before the game starts!
winning the MNC is greater than being SEC champs...that's the issue, Alabama gets to bypass this apparent requirement

I never said the AP was important.. I know LSU wants the BCS trophy...anything less will be a massive disappointment.

if you're mad about Bama being #2, don't blame them. blame Oregon, OSU, Oklahoma, Stanford and Boise for not doing their job.
Oklahoma State and Stanford have one loss just like bama.Oklahoma State may win their conference with 1 loss.What job has bama done by the way.They will be third place in the Sec.

I truly believe that lsu is having one of the great seasons of all time, but where lsu fans are wrong is trying to turn that into winning a championship before the championship is played. If there are national champs they will win on the 9th.

I am an LSU fan and I agree. Let it all play out and see. If we win Sat then we have to win on the 9th. No split. The one with the crystal ball wins.

if some alabama fan, on a message board, would say what you want them to, could you then just sit back & enjoy having the best lsu team probably in your memory & stop posting threads about alabama?

I don't think alabama can put up more than 10 on LSU. The way LSU's offense has been playing I think we can get to 17-24...

It's not a requirement. The only requirement is you have to be ranked #1 or #2 to play for the MNC. Anything else you view as "required" or a stepping stone to the MNC, is all in your head. We're #2, we go. Nothing backwards about it.

5.) Go play OSU. It really only matters to the players on the Tiger team. Go ask the players who they want to play. I know who the LSU team would rather play. It ain't the cowboys.

If we lost and got the AP title I would claim it only to frick with bama fans. I wouldn't feel much if any sense of accomplishment in that.

It does suck for LSU, no doubt about it.
BUT, all that is required is to be #2. Every other team has one or more bad losses, and whether you will admit it or not, Alabama and LSU are fairly even and better than everyone else.
