Y'all let one of the worst posters on the rant derail this thread. Tsk tsk.
To the OP, yes, I think Charlie Strong could do well at SC. I wouldn't be mad at all if he ended up here. Of course, the only way he leaves Austin is with a pink slip.

It's a fun distraction from the pain sensation in my rectum from last night.

Sweet. You guys lost to GT last year, that cancels out our loss.
Nice, 6 in a row
only cuz Watson got hurt early in game, as he was close to getting a TD. Stoudt, who was injured all year, threw a pick 6 on next play and it spiralled out of control.
G Tech finished season ranked, which is why so many of you were acting like they were world beaters this year.

It's so adorable how you have an excuse for everything

ou're full of shite. Yesterday you said you became a football because of Chad Kelly. He would have been in elementary school when Spurrier took over so there's no way you remember Lou telling him not too.
obvious joke was obvious. it isn't my fault if you don't get it.

losing a quarterback that owned G Tech while in the game early in the game is a decent excuse.

I keep seeing Gary Patterson's name thrown around. Is there some sort of connection that might make him leave TCU for Columbia?
Patterson isn't leaving TCU. Chad Morris at nearby SMU though, deserves a long look from the Gamecocks.
I think he'd do well in Columbia.

chad morris will never leave texas for SC, to coach against his beloved Tigers. lol

I like what I've seen out of SMU with the limited time he has been there.

Another name to consider...Justin Fuente of the Memphis Tigers. What he's done in three years at formerly-downtrodden Memphis is nothing short of a miracle.

Coaching Highlights
Guided the University of Memphis to its first conference title in more than 40 years as the Tigers posted a 7-1 record in its second season as a member of the American Athletic Conference in 2014
Led Memphis to a 55-48, double-overtime win over BYU in the inaugural Miami Beach Bowl
Coached Memphis to seven straight wins to end the season as the Tigers finished the year with the fourth-longest, current win streak in FBS football and finished with a seven-win gain from 2013, one of the top-nine turnarounds all-time
Memphis finished the 2014 season ranked in the top-25 of the final AP and USA Today/Amway Coaches Polls, a first for the program
The Football Writers Association of American, in conjuction with the Allstate Sugar Bowl, named him one of eight finalists for the 2014 Eddie Robinson Award
Was also named the American Athletic Conference's 2014 Coach of the Year, a unanimous choice of his peers

Morris is from Texas.. I think he prefers being at a small program where expectations aren't insane. SC has always had great expectations
I'm surprised Spurrier hasn't been mentoring somebody on his coaching staff to take over when he leaves.
