horrible in game coach . in the last 4 or 5 vs Ohio St ,he blew 2 of those games himself . LSU would be wise not to hire him .

I am not sure about his in game coaching abilities but he has yet to over take Ohio St. I doubt he would fair any better against Alabama, so I agree with you.

You are clueless as usual. Where exactly do you think the money comes from to pay coaches salaries or their buyouts?? What a dolt !

Apparently his people were already contacted by LSU, but the initial discussions didn’t go well. Franklin has a Top15 team still in the hunt for a Big10 title and playoff berth. He’s apparently very cautious that any discussions are behind closed doors.

Well that explains this thread then

How many coaches have won 8+ games multiple times at Vandy?

Hell How many have won 8+ once at vandy?

How many Big 10 coaches have beaten Ohio State in the last decade?

He seems to have a decent amount of skins on the wall for an "OK Coach"

It would be and would also be the exact splash hire that Woodward tends to make.

Not sure why people think he's not an excellent coach.

Not saying this is all Tate cares about, but he fits the image that Tate would want. Honestly it makes too much sense. Also imo would vault LSU back to being a top 2 or 3 team in the West

9.5? But all I heard was that LSU didn't have the money to match Jimbo's contract..

Feds sent us $1 billion. Is this not what it was for?

Correct. As an Ohio St fan i watched him have leads against Ohio St that his play calling let slip away . He tends to get real conservative and while that may work against Iowa and Michigan it wont vs Ohio St normally and certainly wont work against the elite SEC teams . Good coach .Good recruiter ,and probably has the merits to get the job but i would think LSU would have 2to 3 they would want before him

He's a gold medal for LSU in the woke olympics. He's a decent coach that checks the right diversity boxes.

Sarge you Ole Geezer! That is a flat out lie! Not saying they will pay Franklin that but this has ZERO…. ZERO to do with LSUs budget. I talked to one donor today who’s name is plastered all over LSU campus who said he would personally pay the right coaches salary. That’s just one!

WBRZ reports, per sources, Orgeron’s personal life bled into his coaching life. There were multiple practices where “girlfriends,” per the report, would attend practice and “interfere.” The women’s children would take part in team drills.

News flash OP... I lot of coaches would leave for LSU if they'd get $9.5MM/year.
