In several posts on here (RB comparisions, season projections, etc) it was thought by some that Fournette would be getting less carries for various reasons.

Per Les:

Will backup running back Derrius Guice see more carries than the 51 he had last season? Miles isn't ready to say for sure, and he's certainly not planning on giving Fournette fewer carries than the 300 he toted in 2015, the coach said. "I'm not ready to say we're going to give Leonard Fournette the ball less, Miles said. "That's hard for me to come up with that one."

Fournette is going to challenge Henry's mark from last year I think.

And it will be celebrated by LSU fans, while just a few short months ago they were berating Derrick Henry's accomplishments and berating Nick Saban's perceived "overuse" of him.

Meanwhile, they will still have shitty QB play and won't be effective against teams that can actually stop the run. What else is new?

So you're saying that one of the best RB's in college football will be getting the football a lot this season? Wow, that's shocking.

If any of y'all had a running back like LF7 you would use him a lot to. Guice will get a lot of carries also.

It's no surprise that Fournette will get the ball a lot. I do hope, however, that he doesn't get seriously injured because of it. We don't need another Marcus Lattimore situation on our hands.

At this point in time, I would honestly take Harris over Knight. No homer.

Not at all. We need variation in our offense as good teams who have actual good LBers stack the box.

I think Fournette should get the ball less early in the season, so he can be more rested come conference play.

There's no reason for him to carry the ball 25+ times against Eastern Michigan when you have someone like Derrius Guice as the back up.

I fricking hope to god Leonard Fournette doesn't have 395 carries like Henry when we have Derrius Guice. I would much rather him be fresh late in games and late in the season.

I would like it to be 22ish per game. He was at 25 last year.

DH averaged 26 carries per game, and LF averaged 25 carries per game. Leonard had 26 carries a piece against Syracuse, Western Kentucky, and Eastern Michigan.

The best RB to every play should hopefully break the century mark on Arkansas this year
