Come on dude. You know what I mean. Those guys never sniffed a heisman or the kind of accolades that we've already given to fournette. I do stand corrected that Collins had the wow factor. He was a special back.

An LSU RB will never win the Heisman simply because they'll never get enough carries. Miles and Cameron heavily substitute at the RB position.

Can't agree with ya about Williams.
Good but will never be an extreme production back. Thats just my opinion.

I don't understand why people can't just simply enjoy what is being offered.
We have some great young players amongst us right now and yet all we see is comparisons.

Let's let the players play and let their careers play out before we give or take the crown.

I'll bet you anything you want to bet about Williams. He looks like a Ridley clone. That kid will be great at LSU.

What? I've never seen a more hyped player because of 4 games in my life. Hey Faulk never sniffed a Heisman either.

Adrian Peterson didn't exactly look all world in his debut in college. It took him a couple games to get rolling.

He had 2 100 yard games his first 2 games.

bullshite. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Wait, are we not allowed to say anything bad about Fournette?

I love our fans.

Every single rb at lsu had trouble getting through the line at some point last night.

Stat of the night:
Fournette had SEVEN carries go for two yards or less last night against Sam Houston State. That's FCS Sam Houston State. That's more than half his carries.

Hilliard? One.
Magee? One.
Williams had five.

Fournette might be the best "big play" threat we have (although Hilliard got some pretty big chunks against a power 5 defense last week), but he is not our best running back right now. And yes, he has a lot to learn.

In the SEC, though, you can't rely on a home run back, can you? You have to get the hard yards in between the tackles against the Floridas and the Alabamas of the world. Can Fournette do that? As of right now, I would say he is not our best option. We'll have to see how he improves. But if you are acting like this 18 year old kid has zero flaws, then I don't know what to tell you.

You do realize that every time LF comes into the game , the other team puts 9-10 in the box.

Then maybe we shouldn't give the ball to Fournette every time he is in the game. The coaches can do better, too.

It is like people just jump in on the last post. Go back and read whole thread with context then we can discuss

But damn, watching him run sideline to sideline and never cut upfield against terrible Sam Houston was awful to watch. He doesn't know how to play the position.

Because he isn't an east-wear running back. He's a north-south running back with speed. He isn't an explosive runner, he's a marathon runner. What I mean by that is he doesn't explode with speed, but rather maintains it and doesn't slow down at the end of his run. So running off tackle read options plays with him is just idiotic. We've been using him wrong about 80% of the time these last two games.

I agree with this. However, he hasn't been overly impressive between the tackles either.

I think they're thinking they want to get him along the perimeter because they don't think linebackers and defensive backs will be able to tackle him.

However, I agree with you.

Any fan of any sec team that was paying attention back then will tell how much those games said about how talented Cecil Collins was. That was not hype that was scary real.

Not when it's dumbass generic statements like," he has a lot to learn". He has 113 yards on 21 carries
And 2 rec for 32 yards. Thats not bad by any means. Its certainly not bad enough for some genetically inferior person to question his ability.
