Any rational person without a learning disability should be able to tell the difference. It's not rocket science.

I'm probing because there was a sad hypocrisy when conservatives protested radio stations playing the Dixie Chicks, but then turned around and cried foul during the Duck Dynasty's fiasco.

They have not been oppressed. Let's cut that stupid shite out. They have every opportunity that anyone else in this country has. The only possible oppression comes from others in their communities and the democrats that have handed them handouts and encouraged single parent house holds.

I could buy this protest if it was coming from some kid that grew up on the street and saw democrat policies wrecking his people. Kap and Reid basically lived the country club life.

60's weren't that long ago in some ways, but in other ways they were 50+ years ago. We've come a long way. We've had an African American President for 8 years. He won two elections in, essentially, landslide fashion. African Americans only make up about 22% of the US population, so that means O won with a lot of votes from Caucasians too. We've had African American Attorneys General for 8 years.

At some point, BLM and all those who are oppressed - those battling poverty, women, other minorities, those on the lower end of educational spectrum - need to look deeper into the cause of that continued oppression. Perhaps it can be attributed to those we continue to elect who have lied to us about the change they'll bring. Are we really better off in terms of race relations now than 8 years ago? Look at the cities struggling the most with violence, crime, poverty, education. They are lead, almost entirely, by Democrats - and have been for decades.

Oppression isn't delivered at the hands of one specific race. It's delivered by those who gain power from that oppression and, in Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit and so many other cities that is white AND black democrats who are running those cities.

i don't know how we can continue discussing this if you can't even concede to black folks being oppressed. They have been. You can go back to as little as 2-3 generations ago and black folks weren't even allowed to drink out of the same water fountain as our great grandparents. It may be different today, but it's a tall task to ask some to just forget how their grandparents were treated.

I try to chalk it up to one of those things that I won't pretend to know anything about because I've never been in that situation. Just try to be open minded. The exact same could be said to the violence encourages of BLM. They should understand that not every white personal in America has it out for them.

ETA: You don't have to scream and yell to get your point across. They chose to sit/kneel. It's been done before.
