Well, one is offering a scholarship, if I recall. And I believe the HC of that team may or may have not once coached for Arky

He spurned Arky for Auburn then thugged it up every year now he wants to get back in the good graces of his home state because he knows his pro career isn't likely to happen. I would say no.

i forgot W. Ky was supposedly showing interest. looked it up and troy has, also, as well as a few non-FBS schools.

maybe i should amend my statement and say 'no FBS school outside of the Sun Belt'.

That is the only way that this can end. The only reason he didn't come to Arkansas in the first place was Petrino. It would be so ironic to see him finish out his career playing for Petrino.

If BB brings him in as a walk-on, puts him on a choke collar, provides a 24-7 handler.... then what has he got to lose?

He gets a BCSNC MVP back that would more than likely put an extra W or two in the W-L column this season.

If the kid screws up, then it cost Arky nothing. If the kid succeeds, then it's a feel good story.

I would have to believe so. It would be worth its weight in popcorn imo.

I agree. there really is nothing to lose, except some somewhat unwanted attention and criticism that can be turned around. The gun thing is really the only questionable thing.

Sounds like the kid (if you consider a 22-23 yr old a kid) was on a short leash at Arky Baptist. He had specific requirements to meet each week, he received counseling, and the got his grades up. I'd give him shot as long as it didn't tie up a scholly spot on the roster.

Well this will be why Arky will suck for the next few years.

He wouldn't get PT at Bama. Don't need him like some other schools do.

Bama doesn't have a need for him. Arky needs a solid, experienced, seasoned RB that has proven he can tote the rock with authority.
