My SEC loyalty has definitely waned over the last few years, but there is still enough left that I will root for the SEC in the national championship, which is why I hope Clemson wins. Alabama winning would be bad for the SEC.

Were they? Ask AU fans about 2004. The only reason that hasn't happened again is because the SEC became dominant. UF, LSU, Bama, AU, etc. Well, Bama is all that's left between you and getting left out of the playoffs. You'd better hope some other teams start stepping up again if Bama starts losing these kinds of games.
Nobody except Alabama in 2011 and maybe Auburn in 2013 ever benefitted from the the SEC's streak of national championships giving them any benefit of the doubt.

I'm pulling for BAMA but I really don't care that much, I just want a good game. The reason I'm goin for Bama is because alot of my friends are FSU fans who hate the SEC. So Roll Tide because frick them and the ACC.

Right, what you lesser SEC teams need is for Bama to lose. That should help your perception in the SEC. I mean, it's already not great after this lackluster year, but if the bell cow loses too? Oh, but I'm sure you'll get the benefit of doubt over Michigan or Oklahoma if you're ever vying for a playoff spot in the near future.
If LSU, Florida, Auburn or Georgia ascend, they will be locks.
I'm pulling for Clemson to have a good offensive game. Recruiting in the SEC, we need Alabama to have some cracks in the armor.

Hate to root for the Gumps, but I will in this instance. I think the selection committee once again got it wrong.....for all the wrong reasons yet again. Washington got mudflapped by a far superior team, yet they were still in the final 4. It's not that Bama was so great, it's just that Washington - when faced with a solid defense - crumbles.

You say that now but wait until LSU is a one or two loss SEC champion, fighting for that 4th playoff spot. Then, they will start pounding that SEC chest and say,"our conference champ usually wins the championship" as an argument. As long as the SEC champ is winning the playoffs, the better chance your team will get in if and when they win the SEC.

I feel like most of the country, including many SEC fan bases will be rooting for BAMA to lose, and not particular about who wins.
It really does bug the rest of college FB fans anytime SEC wins a NCG.
