Surprised on the dislike of Fla; that seems like a good, safe choice for A&M fans. Fla fans were pretty respectful of A&M and your team played well against them.

Meh. They were very so so during that game. Remember it was week 1 for us, and no one expected anything from us. More condescending fans than LSU had for example. Even though I hate both, the Gator fans rubbed me a little bit differently than the swamp kittens.

Alabama -- Lots of history between the two schools. We recognize their badassedness and usually don't talk shite after a win (like some fans do). I don't hate Bama. I want to beat them because Bama >>>> everyone else.

Arky -- Hate goes back to the SWC, but most are pretty cool when they are not trolling.

Auburn -- I like Auburn. It's very similar to A&M in terms of structure. No hate.

Florida -- No hate. Love the fight song. Respect for academics and athletics.

Georgia -- See Florida on academics and athletics. Georgia guys were pretty cool at the Independence Bowl a few years ago.

Kentucky -- No hate. I was pissed that they took BCG, but I didn't blame them or BCG at the time.

LSU -- Fun hate, not real hate. Like Ark, we have a history.

MSU -- The grinding is funny as hell. If there is any hate it's more envy. I wish we were as funny as some of the State posters. Love the grind.

Missouri -- I like Mizzou. Pretty decent fans. They get a bad rap for their first year in the SEC. Give them some time. They have good fan support and they will fit in, they just didn't fit in as well as A&M in the beginning. We have been a perfect culture fit and have wanted to go to the SEC for decades. They really didn't think about it until the opportunity arose.

Ole Miss -- Great tailgating. Good times. They should have won the game in 2012. They were pissed but they didn't act like dicks for the most part (except a few, but I understand).

South Carolina -- Love SC. Almost culturally identical to A&M.

Tennessee -- No hate. I played DB in high school(fast white boy)in the late 80s early 90s. I remember my high school would show us film of Tennessee DBs. I would try use their techniques.

Vandy -- No hate. Serious respect for the academics. Vandy pulls in more research dollars. It's amazing....and they are pretty good at athletics.

Top 3 "like" schools:
1. SC
2. Missouri
3. Georgia

Surprised no Aggie has mentioned Va Tech. Nothing but love when during the last series we played against each other. Which was definitely weird for the interent.

Lord 4 pages and not 1 mention of who has the best food and booze. If I am gonna be friendly you need to feed me and ply me with liquor.

I mean. I don't really know what a Big 12 mentality is,
outsider looking in, and really based more on how directly those schools threaten each other's goals.
Auburn and A&M directly threaten each other's success.
I have a number of friends who are alums of schools I "dislike", all are good folk who (usually) support their own big-time programs.

They may hate us, and that is fine, A&M is hated by lots of people. That hasn't ever bothered me.
true enough, but I wouldn't then consider the programs as "friends". In listing my (LSU's) thoughts towards UGA and Tenn, I've found the overall fanbases had good times together (for the most part), no animosity. Pretty much a good road trip for both camps.

Just a case to consider- a lot of Auburn and UGA alums are friends to each other, but nobody in their right mind would consider the 2 schools to be friends. Watch out for the firehoses...

There has always been a big mutual love fest between Bama and Penn State although the Sandusky scandal may have tempered that....

Didn't temper it for me; no one currently involved with PSU had anything to do with what happened there.

The Penn State aftermath has been like a 'sins of the father' situation carried to an almost ludicrous degree. Everyone who was in on the crime in one way or the other is dead, fired or in prison.

It's time to move the frick on.

Since we don't have a rival, does that mean we are "friends" with everybody?

No, LSU doesn't have rivals because everyone loves us. It has nothing to do with the fact that we hate everyone.

Of all the B1G schools I am most okay with Penn State probably because they were late to join the B1G and their fans and alumni have been cool with me. They are like the anti Ohio State.

I respect South Carolina. When we're not playing them, I root for them because of Spurrier.

I also like seeing the underdog that is Vandy do good.

LSU and South Carolina fans get along really well together. I really like when they come to town.

In the West, LSU's friend is Miss. State. They are not threatening, and we never feel bad about pulling for them against anyone else in the West. Plus they hate Ole Miss more than we do.

This next statement will bear itself out over time. Both sides are still in denial over this. But LSU and A&M are, historically, practically the same school. They were made for each other.

1. Military tradition.
2. Land grant, A&M schools.
3. Stong legacy in petroleum engineering.
4. Emphasis on football and baseball.
5. Rabid fan bases.
6. Travel well.

Give LSU and A&M a few years and you will see the hate grow because the best hate grows out of what you see in yourself. LSU and A&M are the best friends that will NEVER admit that they are friendly. Soon enough they won't be able to live without each other.

Ummm....just no. Don't flatter yourself.
Actually most Bama fans have always liked A & M and if we had to have a loss, I can think of several other teams that would piss me off much more.

You should hear the Ole Miss fans gush about Alabama. They have their noses so far up the Gumps' asses, it's ridiculous.
