What's with all these cringey bible thumpers coming out of the woodshed? The guy is a millionaire who is a slimy liar who got caught. He also lied to all you holier than thou bible people with his fake persona so he could make himself look better. He deserves everything he is getting. The only people I feel sorry for are his daughters who had their world turned upside down.

Beyond that there's a lot of verses about hypocrites, liars, and those who set themselves up as false teachers. Freeze should enrage the faithful most of all.

"When praying, do not be like the hypocrites for they love to pray while standing....in synagogues and on street corners to be seen by others."

Even right now today, Hugh is tweeting and wants to be seen by others when he should be doing his repentance in private. Instead, he chooses to chatter about his piety in a public forum.

The vast majority of posts I have read on the Tiger Rant, SEC Rant and Ole Miss Rant are enjoying the events surrounding CHF's downfall or they express anger at and disdain for the man. Certainly his actions have and will affect many, many people associated with OM negatively. Such is often the result of our sins.

I am not enjoying this at all but it puts closure in my thoughts as to how in the hell does an unproven major college coach take a team who has not recruited in the top 50 for decades to top 5-10 in one year... We all knew something did not smell right here.

This guy and those around this guy are going to suffer incredibly.

I know most people here hate Bible quoting, but Jesus truly did have something to say about this:

Luke 12:1-3
In the meantime, when so many thousands of the people had gathered together that they were trampling one another, he began to say to his disciples first, “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops.

As a complete aside, what do reckon is the % of men who make >$5m who have used an escort service? Realistically speaking, I reckon it's pretty high.

But lol ole miss and Hugh Freeze. If you're gonna preach brother, you can't be a hypocrite.

HF showed no humility and was demonstrably arrogant and prideful. I love when people take parables from the bible and take them out of context.

It's like my rescuing, enabling mother in law telling her husband the prodigal son parable. I like to remind my mother in law that the father doesn't chase down the son when he's desolate and eating from a pig trough.

HF will suffer more than anyone as a result of his actions. But our God is a forgiving God and He will forgive HF just as He does us for our shortcomings. I urge you Christians out there to pray for HF and his family as they rebuild from this devastation. Peace

If Freeze didn't use Jesus as his recruiting coordinator I would totally agree with you. We all have our sins. But he was a high profile figure who intentionally declared himself as an ambassador for the Christian faith. Once you do that, you have an enormous responsibility on your shoulders. Tebow backed it up, but Freeze deserves all of the shame he has brought to himself and his religion. He didn't make a temporary lapse in judgment. He has been hiring hookers and running a cheating program for 5 years now, all while tweeting daily bible verses and using Christianity as his biggest profit maker. He has made nearly 20 million dollars in the last 5 years doing this. If he gives away all his dirty money and returns to a humble life as a high school coach, I will wish him well. Until then he is just another scum bag.

See, that's the issue. He held himself out there as being righteous. It is okay to recognize human frailty. No one is perfect and everyone has their "kink" or whatever. Don't stand on a pulpit, soap box, street corner and proclaim your virtue or denigrate others who are less than you.

"Two men went up to the temple to pray. One was a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like the other men — swindlers, evildoers, adulterers — or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and pay tithes of all that I receive.’
“But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’

“I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

What about if I laugh at his expense now and then if I get caught buying hookers for high school boys while being the head coach of an SEC school he can laugh at me?

As of yesterday, Freeze was saying this was a misdial. As long as he stays in denial, I don't care what comes his way in terms of public shame.
