Tbird,, yeah, I'm old, I went to school in the 60's. I remember what happened, I was there. There were many fights, etc. Remember MLK? Honest question to YOU. Do you think MLK would approve of ANY person using that word?
I'm hangin' up on this one,,, but would like to know your answer ,,, cause, like I said,, look at this thread.. This one is, and should be, in black and white, no grey, IMO.

Probably not. Although I think he'd probably be in favor of there being open discourse upon it.
That said, I'm not down with everything MLK advocated, either.

Drop a f@ggot and see what happens. That word is used constantly by young males towards their other male friends, sometimes jokingly and sometimes demeaning
I'm sure the filter will be able to distinguish which one you intend to use. Maybe if you type aggressively it'll know you mean it in a demeaning way

No, it's because it's been decided that there is no context where that word is acceptable.
Personally I think they ought to filter out 'wog' as well. There is no context where that word is not offensive.
