Anything that will curb the drama some of these recruits and their families generate is fine with me. I'm sick of seeing ESPN broadcast the hat trick crap.

I'm against it pretty much as it is following an ugly trend of placing football service over academic preparedness.

I don't think kids should be allowed exposure from coaches of higher learning institutions until after the start of Football season in their senior year.

Secondly I would love to see an about face by the collegiate system and a return to red-shirting all incoming Freshmen players so they can adjust to the rigors of academia.

Will this happen not likely today, but as teams get younger and younger in the NFL eventually they will start farm leagues in order to fill their needs.

College football will face a cross roads in the near future and will they throw down the facade of student athlete and become cattle barns or follow the Ivy league and return to their roots, time will tell.

I'd suggest you have a sit down & talk with your team's main recruiter. He'll tell you that to most recruits, in their own minds, they are all 5 stars and act like it. On NSD, there are a lot of so called 3 stars having their own personal press conference & that is just the tip of the iceberg as to what goes on. I'll repeat, the longer a recruit has to collect offers, the worse it gets. I've heard too many inside stories to ever feel sorry for most of those kids who are recruited by major colleges. For the longest time, basketball has had its AAU coaches. Now football is discovering 7 on 7 coaches & what their role is really all about.
