I know you are not really positive about that since you have never seen one before.

If UF really was concerned about the players being with family they would have said no to playing the game on Wednesday instead of waiting until 3pm Thursday. Reality is not playing gives them the best shot at division title. Their actions were strictly based on what was best for their program.

I get the SEC will pay the buyout of South Alabama, what about the $4 million in ticket revenue that has to be refunded, along with negative economic impact for the local community...even for a rent a win. SEC won't pony up that much.

For that reason no make up game on 11/19 or any other date

This is the scenario I will be pulling for:

Lsu and Florida win out
Arky beats Bama this week
A&M wins all but Bama & LSU games
Bama wins all but Arky and LSU(just in case Aubie actually thinks they are relevant)

That takes LSU and Florida to SEC championship.

This BS with Florida this week would never happen again.

Simple, UF is offering to play on 11/19. And before you moan about LSU having to buy out the USA game, the SEC has already offered to pay the buy out. Never mind UF is willing to pay the buyout for their patsy game that weekend. UF most likely didn't want their players to have to worry about family and friends back home and have to play a football game. We've all seen those situations, the players are rarely into the game. It was the right call not to have the game this weekend and LSU is coming off as extremely inflexible regarding the scheduling in a tough situation.

So UF and the SEC are also going to pony up an additional $5 mil or so for lost stadium revenue, game day sales, parking, etc. Will they also pass the hat and take up a collection for bars, restaurants, hotels, etc in BR they will lose a game weekend. If so, then by all means, let's go to UF and throw away a fricking home game.

Get off your fricking high horse. You and every other fan on this damn board would flip out if your school was being pushed to give up a home game for any reason, much less one that would result in the downside of 3 straight on the road and a 4 day turnaround for the last game.

That is actually the only date the neither team is playing an SEC opponent. That just makes too much sense though.

I'm sure Auburn, along with every other fan base represented here, would have no issue with having to give up all the revenue from a home game. No big deal. All these awesome weight rooms and practice facilities and stadium additions that we're all building all the time will just take care of themselves. It's not like our schools' athletic departments have to budget or anything. They are just rolling in all that SEC $$$$. Right?

Apparently you missed the 20 other threads where the conference insurance policy was referenced.

I guess you missed where it only covers the buyouts. It isn't going to cover anything close to LSU's losses for a home date. Not even remotely. So like everyone else throwing that shite against the wall, frick off.

Now, Florida should have tentatively agreed to play Monday though and take a wait and see approach.

I agree with you here. However, for Foley to have made the right call, he would have actually had to have gotten off his arse and made one at all, which he didn't. Unlike USC, who took care of their own business last year and again this year, UF forced the SEC office to step in because of their lack of action. There isn't anything admirable about that.

This storm was an excuse to not play the game. It makes perfect sense considering Florida has been playing like shite to inferior opponents. On top of that their everything Del Rio wasn't going play risking make his injury worse. So of course they want to reschedule for Nov after we play Ole Miss, Alabama, and Arkansas. Give me a break this was done purposely to avoid a lose. Such cowards.

No life will be at stake on Saturday night or Sunday night from a storm there will it?

What about Monday? Why not wait and see and play Sunday or Monday?

Tide up you are a straight jackass

Has nothing to do with where it's played

It just should be played

Should have been moved or they should play Sunday or Monday

Period

You're a fricking moron CNB

If the hurricane was such a concern then UF HC shouldn't have been lobbying to keep the game there dunbass

He was too pussy to play this game. Period

You should be better than this, but I unfortunately you aren't

Explain this too

ECU@USF (Tampa, FL) NOON Eastern Time (Same time LSU@UF would have played). Tampa is closer to the East coast of FL than Gainesville too!

FSU@Miami 8:00 PM Eastern Time and actually in the path of hurricane Matthew.

BUT LSU@UF is cancelled? Why not push back this weekend and go from there?

Because they are pussy
