would Florida have insurance for something like this happening? Seems odd they are willing to pay all this money to Idaho. I expected them to refund the tix.

They're refunding tix and paying Idaho the full amount. They'll play in 2017.

if you think about it, Idaho made a good faith effort to go there and play the game, so it was only right they got paid

Why would florida not reschedule on the open date before UGA? Both teams are open?

Neither team wanted to.

Tennessee hasn't beaten Florida since September 18, 2004.

Agreed with the decision. There is no point in making up this game.

A win could have made a difference to Idaho's bowl hopes. Normally, that would be asinine, but given that Florida has recently lost to an FCS school, I'm not sure we can just assume they beat the Vandals.

why didn't they just play the game on sunday? it seems like it wouldn't be terribly hard to book hotel rooms for one more night and change flight schedules. was the weather shite on sunday as well?

If we have to play, you have to play. I don't care who it is. This might come back to bite you in the arse later on in the season. Come bowl season, this game could be a make or break type scenario. Just thinking ahead. But best of luck this season either way.

If the Idaho game makes or breaks the Gator's season, there are bigger problems. Fans focus sure as shite won't be on where they go bowling.

Yeah, lets risk a bunch of injuries against Idaho before the biggest game of the season.

Biggest game of the year

Sat, Sept 20 @ #2 Alabama
Sat, Oct 4 @ Tennessee
Sat, Oct 11 vs #12 LSU
Sat, Oct 18 vs #24 Missouri

These are all before the UGA game, your season could easily be over.

TV, Stadium prep, hotels, staffing of stadium and food service, flights, meeting rooms, meals for Idaho, fans coming back, security, law enforcement, traffic enforcement, etc.

It would have been a logistical nightmare. T

You are naive. UG is the biggest game of the regular season for many gators. Sorry you don't have a rival.

You think we could have forced Idaho to do that even if we wanted to do so? You are smarter than this? Right? I know your fellow Vols in here aren't but you?

Who cares about the SEC East as long as you beat UGA? Priorities are weird in this conference.

I'd explain it to you if I thought it would help your Yankee behind.
