USA Today article:

Five reasons the LSU-Florida game should be made up at all costs: Impact on the SEC championship race. Impact on the College Football Playoff because every SEC game somehow impacts the College Football Playoff – or should. LSU and Florida can dip into petty cash for whatever the buyout would be to make South Alabama and Presbyterian go away on Nov. 19 or do some other shuffling to get the games in. These players only have so many chances to showcase themselves to “the next level,” and since that’s what they come to school for. They need to play every game. It is our God-given constitutional right to have access to as many Southeastern Conference football games as possible.

The southern Miss game? So Florida is going to make up an SEC cross division game by giving up an SEC East game? Or do you mean the 19th and south Alabama? Oh so you mean only the one alternative that came from an anonymous source and not multiple alternatives? Carry on gump.

LSU offered many alternatives. Florida was too scared for whatever reason and that's the truth.

Smart move. Tennessee will likely have 2 SEC loses. If Florida wins out, they could win the East in spite of the loss to the Vols.

Yes... you nailed it. LSU absolutely steamrolled a 2-2 Mizzo team that had beaten both Eastern Michigan and Delaware

LSU was about to steamroll a Florida team that struggled against a Vandy team that got beaten 38-7 by Georgia Tech

seems LSU fans are excusing the first 4 games of the season as all on Les Miles....you are chest thumping and truly feel you are "really undefeated" because that was when Les was coaching. "We're different now"

Fine. While you're at it go ahead and discredit all of the magical bull shite Les Miles has pulled out of his arse year in year out to re-energize the UF-LSU rivalry and single-handedly come up with ways to defeat UF. I always respected LSU when he was coaching against UF because i knew some little giants annexation of puerto rico bull shite arse play would dupe us.

Coach O is not the savior you are thinking...you guys did this with Etling...you did it with offseason Brandon Harris...you did it with spring football offense opening up.... you'll soon be back to reality

Your only proving my point with all this nonsense. You have no idea what you are talking about. Zero knowledge of our roster or what's been going on. If you were informed, you would know it WAS Les Miles goddamn fault and we ARE a different team with aggressive and diversified play calling. Football is not rocket science and only one team in the SEC has recruited as well or better than us and that's Bama. We have a loaded team but no one truly realizes the potential of the team because we have been so handicapped by miles and Cameron. This is one of those situations where the narrative expressed by the fan base actually IS the reality. No one gives s shite what you think. LSU fans know. We know our team and we know how bad Les was. People knew it for years. I don't know how else to explain the ineptitude that was miles and Cam but that shite is over and what we have right now is a extremely motivated coach with the job of his life and a loaded and re-energized team. There is no hyperbole here. This is the plain truth.

And just so you know....we would have boat raced that overrated gator squad and everybody knows it. Florida did not want this game. That part is painfully obvious. Chicken shite politics if I've ever seen it.

One game doesn't but it certainly helps when an offense that was putting up 10-15 points a game max goes to putting up 40+. It makes a team hot when they're rolling with a new QB who can run the offense and make big plays. They're hot because our defense is undeniably better than yours right now. They're hot because coach O has brought a newfound energy to Baton Rouge. LSU is hot right now and has the potential to be VERY scary. Agree with me or not you will see in the next couple weeks. LSU is coming off the most offensive yards in SEC history for them where as previously putting up 200 yards a game was a difficult task. This team has changed, they're ready. Everything has changed. LSU IS A HOT TEAM RIGHT NOW. There's a reason we were ranked top 5 in preseason polls.

This is all true but no one wants to believe it. They think it's bluster and wishful thinking.
