Back to back division titles and then fired the next year. He overachieved his first two years and then was fired for humping a shark that he never even humped. No wonder Florida is in such bad shape.

We "won" the East those years because it sucked. And we saw how bad he was in 2017 without Geoff Collins.

He may not have worked out and been fired later. But it was just weird timing to fire a guy in the middle of his third year after he had won division titles his first two.

The team quit on him pretty hard in his final season. The Georgia game was 35-0 in the middle of the third quarter.

"Studying FLA-GA tape," McShay said. "The first three quarters of this game is one of the biggest arse-kickings I can remember. Sony, Chubb, etc are running wild."

Well then he should've thought about that before having sexual relations with a shark.

That's been debunked.

He won the east in its 2 worst years.

They should have kept Mullen. Went to 3 NY6 bowls then got fired for one bad year.

Do you guys seriously not remember why he was fired? He made up some nonsense in a press conference about death threats against his family then when the university wanted to investigate he provided no information what so ever. It was a PR disaster for the university

It was really him, bro. He just paid an ex cop to take the fall for him.

In his defense, it was a really hot shark. And it was swimming around out there all naked. It was basically asking for it.

A quick check shows all the threads you start are about teams that you don't root for. Life is too short to be a hater. Get some help.

The Gators nickname is kinda tired. They should have run with it and become the Shark Humpers.

I was thinking his firing had more to do with stupid stuff like falsely reporting death threats and being a total a hole to work with.

Stop trying to make a shark beaver hybrid happen. They had to get him out of the state before Landsharks became real.

Mullen had 2 bad years (8-4 with a team that had enough offensive talent to take Bama to the wire, 5-6) and was clearly trending in the wrong direction.

Firing both MacElwain and Mullen was the right move.

The wrong move was with who they replaced them with.
