Florida or Auburn...who gets "back" first?

Who raises up from the flames of their current dumpster fires first, the Tigers or the Gators? Auby fans think Freeze is gonna be their Messiah. UF fans hate ol Billy, or the one's I know do. Getting humiliated by Oregon st and this latest fiasco with the Rashada kid is just a microcosm of a season of failure.
Auburn has Bama, a surging LSU and a permanent prison-raping appointment with UGA every season.
If getting bullwhipped by UGA every season wasn't bad enough for the Gators, they've fallen behind UT that is making an argument as the second best team in the SEC. And not to mention the fact the Gamecocks return ol Rattler to make things tougher on them for 2023. Heck, they lost to Vandy for crying outloud, so NOTHING is getting easier for them.
So...who rebounds first?
In keeping with my East loyalty, I'm going to give the Gators the nod. I don't think the Mertz kid coming from Whisky is as bad as their own fans think it is. He's not Young or Bennett, but he’s not a slouch either. They got some pretty good-looking recruits coming, especially DL Kelby Collins. He looks like a future star to my non-expert eyes.
Auburn has some talent coming in too…I heard Jeremiah Cobb hadn’t signed yet? That would be a blow, but Izavion Miller looks like a sure-fire stud OL to me.
Anyway, let the debate begin. Who get’s “back” sooner?

Just the Florida fans I know do. If you love the guy, feel free to explain why. That's what this thread is all about.

I was amazed at the Georgia fans show of restraint after their championship last season. I think they were stunned. We are seeing them come out of their cocoons this off season with quickness. It has been a long slumber for some of you.
Welcome to the rant.

I don't love him, but judging a HC after one year is retarded. The "Florida fans you know" are overreacting.

Uh, what does your comment have to do with the price of Bulgarian stomach pumps...or the topic of thread for that matter? Stick to the subject at hand please and tell us why you think UF will rebound before Auburn...if you do think that?

Cobb is signing in Feburary I think.
Haven't kept up with the Gators but Auburn has won the recruiting cycle (with a quick turnaround) and the transfer cycle..so far. Brought in a few coordinators (Montogomery who had good offenses when he coached Tulsa, Roberts who mentored Aranda, Crimedawg, Davis who coached a good GA Southern WR corp etc) and momentum seems to be on the Tigers side.
Excited to see what Freeze can do with a full recruiting cycle and results on the field

Auburn
Florida has only seen major success with two head coaches.

Auburn was a football school long before Florida so would be more inclined to return to their history. The 3 Florida schools really only rose with the rise of the Cocaine Cowboys and the historical anomaly is not likely to repeat.

In due time Auburn will be a threat to every team and compete for the SEC championship.

Auburn hired the better option for win at all cost and its not close

Auburn hired a better coach but they have a unique problem where Alabama and Georgia are both "up" at the same time right now. How Hugh Freeze navigates that situation will be interesting. At least NIL exists this time so whatever he does will not necessarily be an NCAA violation automatically.
