Exactly. That fanbase runs off just about everyone. I'm not saying Muschamp was a great coach but their constant breathing down the neck of the coaches has to be annoying to anyone whos trying to set the course for success.

I'm sorry, Mr. theGolfer. Is an Alabama fan seriously talking about the hyperactive sky-high expectations of another team's fanbase?

Seriously?

Well...that's kinda true LOL

You do realize this is Muschamp's 4th year?

The expectations aren't unreal. Part of Muschamp's problem is that he put a boring product on the field. It might be ok at other places, but at UF offense is hugely important.

I have friends who consider Muschamp's 10 win season a failure, because they "won ugly" or "with defense".

Winning isn't enough. Gotta light up the scoreboard doing it.

Muschamp wasn't winning. If every year was like 2012 we wouldn't be talking about this today. But if you lose and on top of that have terrible offense, of course Florida fans are going to be upset.

If that guy was elite, he would have won the SEC with Johnny Football and fielded a halfway decent defense.

Didn't Mike Shula get fired one year after winning 10 games, and only lasted four years? Same thing with DuBose?

I never understood why Florida was so high on Muschamp in the first place. You would think a "top 10" job would command enough respect to get someone other than a coordinator. Arkansas hired an established coach from another power 5 conference, you would think Florida could do the same.

Right. But, for whatever reason Muschamp was believed to be a defensive savant when he ran Saban and Tuberville's defenses at LSU and Auburn. And, his defenses at Texas weren't world beaters. I think Muschamp is well connected and that's how he got the UF job because there are defensive coordinators with better resumes that don't get a UF level job as their first job.
