I can't wait to see who follows Saban. Phyllis will probably burn his house down if he's not ranked in the top 4.

Sheeed. It's a very attractive job in a weak SEC East. None of the SEC East coaches will make a good head coach shake in their boots.

Also, I know UF fans want to hire a rockstar but they'd be wise to look at someone like Jim McIlwain or Gundy at Okie State.

No, but Charleston is. Bama can claim Mobile, if it makes you feel better.

Charleston is amazing.

But I disagree on your assessment of T Town - it's a pretty nice place. AL's campus is beautiful. Downtown is charming like most small towns, and it is right on the Black Warrior River

Did you just pass through on the interstate or were you unable to afford a hotel outside of the hood?

I don't get it...

Florida is one of the top 10 jobs in the country. I bet Mullens would take that job over Starkville.

That was a very disappointing season despite the wins. Every game was some of the flukier shite brand of football that I've ever seen. Barely beating cupcakes, offense that made 1910 Yale fall asleep, pathetic thug shuffling jiving strutting while getting your arse kicked by Louisville ending. That season was the outlier. It was non sustaining for anyone with a clue about football except Foley who gave that asshat a raise which will now cost UF $7 million.

UF is a great job but not one for losers...

I hear Merlins and Foley have issues so not sure he would look in his directions

I've been there. And it's no Athens, nor South Carolina in a few years. Great atmosphere--best really--half the fans act like they have a little sense and the history.

Other than that, it's your anti-Florida sentiments. I got some of 'em too, but Gainesville ain't bad. My two favorites are Sanford and Kentucky.

Exactly. That fanbase runs off just about everyone. I'm not saying Muschamp was a great coach but their constant breathing down the neck of the coaches has to be annoying to anyone whos trying to set the course for success.

Idiot. Anyone with common sense could see that UF's 11 win season had a ton of fluky shite involved.

Most people who talk shite about Gainesville ironically haven't been to Gainesville, and just rely on what they here from others.

Then they post on here and act like they know everything there else to know about Gainesville.

If by that, you mean they will be the most attractive team looking for a coach this year, then I agree.

If the reports of Jim Mora Jr turning down that job in Austin are true, then the parity of resources has gotten so strong that it isn't that Florida has become less attractive, it's that everywhere else is more attractive.

Who do they want that they can't get that they would have been able to twenty or thirty years ago? Mizzou's head coach? TCU's head coach? Alabama's offensive coordinator?

This. My sentiments are from Spurrier killing Georgia. Gainesville is in the upper 25 percent of the SEC in my opinion.

Meyer left to go somewhere easier to win. Saban has literally scared off any elite coach from starting fresh in the SEC.
