You didn't get snubbed, since the NCAA took over the NIT they made regular season champions who lose early in the conference tourney, like you did, auto bids into the NIT.

I understand the NCAA only takes the conference winner, but excuse my biased opinion but whenever a ranked team misses the tourney that's a snub.
