You would think with his supposed recruiting “pedigree” he would not be getting slammed by Florida high school coaches as not even bothering to come by their schools. Missing on some big recruits that are going to places like Tally, Georgia, and even Miami.
Seems like Alabama made him look good.

Its wild to me that Florida has largely been wandering in the desert for over a decade. So many bad misses. Didn't think that would happen there for so long.

He was the WRs coach. And got pissed he was overlooked for OC after Kiffin left. So he bolted for Arizona State. I honestly think our WRs improved after he left. Hell of a recruiter at Alabama though.

Link? I was under the impression recruiting was going well. Got a good group already with plenty more guys in play.
Going back to last years class he's been landing about five 4* star kids to every one 3*. That's a pretty good rate for us. Mullen was like half 3*.

Is Napier at Florida really scaring you with his 94.00 average rating so far for the 2024 class?

UF has 4 top 50 guys already with the the third highest average only behind Bama and Georgia.
But please tell more about how Miami is killing it with their one 4*.

What I said was he is not getting the local high school coaches on his side. Maybe he does not care. There is a ton of talent leaving the area and bridges are being burned.

That said, Sunbelt Billy is doing fine with his recruiting. What should excite Florida fans is all the offers his former players at ULL are getting when they hit the portal. He took some low ranked athletes and turned them into SEC quality players.

Tom Herman did the same shite at Texas. One high school coach called him "A&M's best recruiter."

It makes Napier’s hiring a bit of a head-scratcher to me. I would’ve thought a massive brand like UF would’ve gone for an established P5 coach. It’s not like they’re lacking for money or pedigree.
Napier was a gamble hire. He could very well turn it around, but I’d be uneasy if I were a gator fan and donor.

Could be. I am passing what is starting to now be talked about on the closest major local sports talk affiliates to Gainesville. They are Florida fans.
Will be interesting to see how fast he becomes a lame duck coach and will not be able to bring in recruits.
The fact that Florida is being pumped up for this season is purely bs. If there is not money coming on those 2024 recruits are not going to show up to campus.
