Maybe so. But sometimes the writing is on the wall....although I'm NOT suggesting that is the case here. Was just curious what those closer to the Florida program thought. Good to know Florida fan sees nothing but great things ahead.

One other idiotic question: Why is Florida's backup QB a true freshman? Is it solely the miss on Burton as a QB?

That's actually a good question in regards to the backup QB. We switched systems, and Tyler Murphy was more of a Spread Option QB. So, we signed Driskel and Charlie Weis wanted Brissett as well. Driskel is only a TR FR, but he's indeed very talented.

I love Will, and Fat Charlie.
I like the passion, it gets his players fired up. Nice change up for me.

And let's see what Charlie can do in a week with Jeff. I suspect he looks much better on Saturday.

Not really. How the hell would I know? I don't follow the Florida program closely enough. I couldn't even make it through the entire Bama game, which is crazy. Bama @ UF, in the Swamp, at night, and it was done at halftime. So as an outsider, yes it looks kinda bad right now. That's the entire premise of this thread. Looks bad to me but what the hell do I know about UF football. So I ask the Florida fans. And it is perfectly clear - no worries at all from the blue and orange faithful.

I think the consensus is the jury is out. I think we'll have an idea by the end of next season.

sideline rants aside, muschamp is a very good coach, very good recruiter. the same is true of weis. they will get the players to fit their respective schemes. florida is still florida after all, and big name recruits always want to go there... even when zook was coaching. the best talent in the country comes from florida, so UF is at a significant recruiting advantage compared to most other SEC schools. the only thing i'm worried about for florida is if our coaches bolt for other jobs.

it will not be long before florida is one of the elite teams in the sec and in the country again. essentially, alabama, lsu, and florida will always dominate the SEC, just maybe not all at the same time. each team will have its down years. the other SEC teams will have one or two good teams every so often, but they aren't in a position to sustain success for very long.

florida was expected to be 4-1 (at best) by this point. we are now 4-1. many had us losing to tennessee. a few analysts had us losing to kentucky. we have met or exceeded expectations so far.

Dude, just face it. You started a shitty thread that made a whole lot of people think you had either lost it or gone full blown retard.

Trying to defend its premise until your dying breath is a fool's errand. Just let the season's results prove you right or wrong. Let it the frick go.

Oh it's quite obvious you don't know much at all.

Cause our starting QB got hurt in the second quarter and we had to put in a freshman. Derp fricking Derp.

Why do you think anybody gives a flying frick about your opinion?

Or football in general for that matter, if you really think you can judge a coach after one loss.

That's it in a nutshell. Thanks for playing and if you have anymore stupid questions feel free to take them to another board.

Thanks!!!

No shite. I just had no idea Florida was in that position - a true freshman as backup QB.

So please explain how that is Muschamps fault? Should he purchase a time machine, go back in time and recruit an older fricking QB so we have a Soph or Junior QB to be our backup last Saturday?

Are you really this dumb, or are your just practicing the art of the long troll?

Where has anyone said this is Muschamps fault??
All I've accused Muschamp of is not looking like a HC on the sideline.

How so? And what does that even mean anyway?

Hell, I bet Pellini used to take out a laser pointer just to see if Miles would chase it around.

I really think you are just frickin with us. I mean your entire thread is about Muschamp being a good head coach, so please stay focused on the topic at hand.

Muschamp does no more arse chewing on the sideline than Saban does. Also, Joe Pa knew how to chew some arse in his hay day.

Yep, Muschamp is right there with Saban and Joe Pa. Basically mirror images on the sideline. Great comparisons.

Pellini and Muschamp seem pretty similar as fiery DCs turned first time HCs. Good call.
