Fans, in general, overlook all but a couple of games on the schedule (see the "Code of Williams Brice" thread).
It's misguided & odd.
Thankfully, coaches don't do the same.

True ... but you evoked that thread because you believe we're overlooking your Aggies in the opener, and I assure you we're not. It's just when you look at things - SCAR should win the game. I expect it to be closer than most though, if that's worth anything.

If Gata can keep a healthy O-line they will have a chance to win 9 or 10 games.

UF and LSU should be pretty evenly matched this year. Home team wins IMO.

I highly doubt lsu is overlooking them. They had a weird season last year, but they know them swamp is tough to play in. They might have a hangover from auburn though.

The reality is no one has any idea. I see a lot of things I like, but that's just on paper:

4th year QB - very talented
3 Srs and 2 Jrs starting on the OL with tons of size and experience.
New and proven OC
Lots of talent at the skill positions
good RBs
Good special teams (maybe even great if the kicking is good)
2 jrs and 2 srs starting on the DL
experienced LBs
really talented secondary - maybe even the best defensive player in the SEC playing on it?
The team is 100% healthy
No off season arrests

I mean, assuming Muschamp isn't the problem, there is a lot to like in what I just posted above...

They will improve no doubt. From 4-8 last year to 5-7 or 6-6

And get 10 in a row against UT in a year that the UF HC gets fired. Poor UT.

Yes there is, especially when you play at home.

I hope UF is undefeated, along with SCAR, when we meet in Gainesville.

It would be good for the East, late season ballgame, final conference game for both of us to decide the East. That would be fine by me.

Oh, I definitely think South Carolina beats us in the opener.
Little to no doubt, actually.
I was more surprised to see the entire home schedule (in the minds of many fans) already given a "W."

I have no problem with that mentality--it's why we're fan[atic]s.
Hope springs eternal in the preseason.
I was simply saying that "overlooking" teams is very typical of fan-bases, but rarely the case for coaches.

Their defense will be good again, so I'm not overlooking them. If the game is played during the day it will be hot as a mofo too.

Well, they rarely give us night games so drink lots of water.

I wish all our early season games were at night. It's too damn hot.
