Would it be time to fire Butch? That's hard to believe right now since Tennessee is projected to win the East, but to be fair Tennessee has an extremely tough schedule and I don't think they are up to the task of winning the east with Butch in the driver's seat.

I was at the Mizzou/Tennessee game in Knoxville last year. The fans were very nice and my brother and I had a great deal of fun, but the fans were also extremely delusional. They weren't fans who were simply hoping their team would win that day. They were fans who truly believed Butch was the savior despite underwhelming performances, and the savior would end Mizzou's successful streak that evening.

When these self proclaimed "best fans in college football" started throwing water bottles onto the field and at the Mizzou bench late in the 4th Quarter after Mizzou secured the win, my brother and I just laughed and said to each other, "fricking overrated."

Shortly afterward we shook Gary Pinkel's hand and basked in the glory of the "MIZ...ZOU" chant whicht he led as 80,000 Tennessee fans filed out of their mishmash wannabe coliseum.

That's the kind of Tennessee disappointment that 2015 will gift upon the so called "best fans in college football".

They thought the players were thirsty. Next year, we will try piss balloons instead.

If we finish last in the East this year, I think Butch would get one more year but it would be a make or break year in 2016.

Tn does have a hard schedule but at this point it looks like the most manageable schedule we've had in years.

But of course it doesn't look anything like a Missouri cupcake fest like you all continually get gifted every year.

How many more times in a row do you need to lose to Florida before they revoke your rivalry status?

Can Butch even coach??? He's something like 1-16 lifetime against rated teams. The world is gonna find out this year and next, if he makes it that far.

They can call whoever they want as their rivals.

I tend not to care that much about other schools/fanbases.

Quickly, without googling, when was the last time Tennessee finished last in the East?

Those games came generally with less talented rosters then those ranked teams he faced.

Butch is putting together a roster that will be in the top 5-10 most talented in the country and top 5 in the SEC.

He will start beating ranked teams again soon because he is finally going to have equally to more talented rosters then most of those teams.
