Is that Tennessee's excuse for losing to Vandy, the Commodores are back?

sounds the most plausible of anything you've written.

Tennessee fans didn't know how to react.
That was you?

I feel like this is one of those situations where I have to ask you if you know what a "write off" is and you reveal yourself to be Kramer. In the meantime, don't be such a sensitive penis. The world already has a Darren Rovell. Just because UT is hot garbage doesn't mean you have to piss your pants about it.
Admittedly, I had to use Google to figure out what the frick you're talking about, and now that I have, I still have no idea where the frick you're going with this nonsense.
But at this point, I've completely lost interest in this conversation, so don't bother explaining it.

Last? We fired two Hall of Fame Coaches for less.

Killz, it was before Zou's time but we fired, um 'retired,' a HoF Coach in 2008. He won us the natty and had won the SEC East in as recently 2007. All Phil ever did was beat the shite out of Bama and just win baby. (Flurrida had our number tho - then as now).
He was the then-winningest active coach in CFB and we fahrd/retired him.
He was born in the state of TN, a Tennessee alum, player alum (All-SEC Guard), won the SEC as a player, and universally loved by his players as well but going to the SEC title game, winning it when we were good enough and being in the national hunt perennially wasn't good enough so we fahrd/retahrd him cuz we needed a challenge.

why the hell did Tennessee fire him? What were they thinking?

It was Hamilton, and they weren't thinking.

Losing to Wyoming in 2008 on Homecoming prolly sealed the deal for ol Phil

Yeah, you all shouldn't have fired a national championship caliber coach.
Hopefully other programs around the country look at the Tennessee mistake as a learning lesson.

Hamilton + some donors wanted a hot young thang (boy did we get it TWICE in Kiff/Dool and it was a disaster). Hamilton hired two coaches whose only qualifications were that they were 1. sons of famous coaches 2. young 3. pretty boys. The fact that he hired two daddy's name coaches says it all. Fulmer simply needed to change his OC and spruce things up a bit but he was a traditionalist and after the failed Clawfense experiment where Fulmer went against his better judgment and hired outside his style those who wanted Phil gone pushed harder and won.
You have to understand that there was always a Johnny Majors faction and a Phil Fulmer faction. Majors claimed Fulmer (his then-OC) stabbed him in the back when he went into surgery/got ill. However, the truth most fans don't know about is that there was a player revolt. Players were threatening to boycott/not play the upcoming BAMA game if nothing was done. Johnny was at the height of his alcoholism and meaner than shite when drunk which was most of the time. All of this political nonsense over the years (our fans have always had long memories) and the desire for something new really did Fulmer in. People got bored with him. AND we were so spoiled we had no clue how spoiled we were.
As an aside... Johnny Majors is the original and Spurrier is the wannabe. Fo' Real. Johnny has also gotten a lot mellower and cooler (much like Spurrier).
Johnny:
Spurrier is such an imitation.

Majors won a Natty too AT PITT! Still he came home because we needed him. So yeah, we fired two Natty winners. Like I said: spoiled.
TBH, it's hard to walk in the footsteps of Gen. Neyland. When Knute Rockne was considered the best coach in CFB, he shook his head and said no that Bob Neyland was the best coach.

I'm not predicting anything about the SEC East this season. That's just asking for shite pie down the road.
Missouri could very easily finish last (5th) if there's more attrition. Losing Brantley sure didn't help things.
