You are a moron. 2011 LSU was elite as frick. It's unfortunate that they had to beat Saban twice in a year. I understand the frustration they felt over the rematch.

LSU was the best team that year. Bama had no business playing in that game.

I don't remember who was all in the hunt that year. I just know it was fricking retarded for a team to play in the national championship when they didn't even win their division let alone their conference.

And the game was in LSU's home state. The only way it could have been more humiliating is if it had been on LSU's campus.

Literally every major sport in the US allows non-conference champs/division winners to win the Title

Yea, you know why you don't remember? Because there wasn't anyone else worthy.

Wrong. Non-division champs, sure. But a team still has to win the NFC or AFC or NL and AL to win a championship.

I wish that I had been on TD back then. I'm sure that LSixU posters were very magnanimous in defeat.

Nah, it got more humiliating when a LSU fan passed out in a Krystal's down the street from the game and got Teabagged on camera.

Okie Light should have been in that game instead of LSU.

After the game in November that year, Alabama fans said that if the teams played ten times it would be 5-5 and I disagreed cause I was sure LSU was the better team. But in reality they were probably right. Those were two very evenly matched teams and I don't mind that we lost the game. I mind that LSU went in with no game plan and played as if they already won the NC and didn't need to play at a high level.

I disagree with this. After the game In November, I felt like Bama was the better team and that they blew the scoring opportunities that they had. If you were to watch both games back to back, it is essentially the same game, except Bama was able to get the ball closer and made the field goals that they missed in November. Were the team close? Sure. Both teams had all time elite defenses, no doubt. Both teams were clearly the 2 best that year. After 8 quarters it was clear that Bama was the better team. The fact that LSU beat that Bama team with that defense is something LSU fans should be proud of.
