Hey I have the utmost respect for AU. I view at as a top 10-15 program nationally. But It's not because of 2010.

It's cool. I'm just providing insight from an outside fan with no material interest in the matter.

the cold hard fact is we did something 2 years ago that A&M fans have never experienced... and probably never will... how others "feel" about that accomplishment and lack of respect we get doesn't mean a whole lot (3-9 did more to kill the momentum than these fruitless allegations, IMO).

I think that maybe what Fbaum is trying to do as well. He' saying that outsiders with no real interest in AU see the '10 season as tainted.

As a Bama fan/alum - IDGAF about it. Winning 3 of the last four and having Saban roaming the sidelines this spring in preparation for another run at the crystal just somehow makes me feel fine.

You should care because AU doesn't receive the national recognition and respect associated with winning a MNC.

I actually hate to admit it, but I kind of agree with this. I know it bugs me to this day when people try to discredit LSU's 2003 title by saying USC deserved to be in the game instead of Oklahoma. Or diminish it by saying it was a split title.

Which is the way you should feel. 2010 happened. Nothing that will ever happen will change 28-27.

Alabama has moved on and taken care of business. Everyone else needs to do the same

Will your perception of your national championship change at all if Auburn is found guilty of what they are being accused of?

I agree, the past is the past.

Thank goodness both of our coaches are preparing for the future.

No. But I wont have to worry about that.

The NCAA has already turned over every stone. Nothing left to look at.

Interesting. I never knew the REC was so far-reaching as to encompass the likes of USAToday. WOW -those old farts know how to do work.

That 2010 NC will always have an asterisk mark next to it!

Not sure why that's relevant.

If it doesn't mean much to you, that's fine. I think it'd bother me. I'd want TAMU to receive full credit for a MNC. But for recognition from our counterparts, why do we even participate in intercollegiate athletics? If we don't care about perception, why not just focus on intramural athletics? Let's just divorce ourselves from conferences altogether.

I think AU's futility on the gridiron further discredits the 2010 title. It's more about Cam than AU because AU hasn't been competitive since Cam's departure. And to add insult to injury, people think that perceived "individual" title was secured illicitly.

Well when the perfect title is won we can all look to that one as being more titley...until then greetings from your 2010 national champions

It's not about the "perfect" title, just about a legitimate one.
