whom was this Auburn coach that was dismissed after a winning season? Chizik? No. Tuberville? No. Tater Tot? Well, hard to say since he quit mid-season ? Dye? No. Barfield? No.

Someone explain this one to me,please.

I wonder if the new president will use the same logic. I do believe JJ will be gone. Then it will lay at the feet of the new AD next season. However, 4 straight loses to uga and bama would be tough for any coach at Auburn to overcome. Especially if the last two loses are at home.

As I read this, Finebaum's quote was in response to a called in question? He does this often, getting one of his regular callers, usually bama clowns, to call in a previously discussed question & then he has his shite stirring answer all prepared. That is all he is doing here, jerking AU's/Ark. chain, one of his favorite pastimes. There is a reason why his regular callers have their own call in line.He did this all the time back in his radio only days in B.ham.

So, if given the opportunity to go home where he can escape Auburn and escape the immediate shadow of Nick Saban– now, listen, you still play Saban at Arkansas– but the expectations at Arkansas are ‘Have an 8-4 season, maybe win your bowl game and we’ll throw you a parade.’ At Auburn, 8-4 gets you fired.”

Arkansas fans' reaction while reading that sentence:

I now that half the time he (finebaum) has no idea what he is talking about. That is why most of my responses were light-hearted.

I do want Gus gone, but know that it is a slippery slope to fire JJ and him at the same time which means Gus will shite the bed again next year and be gone. Hell, he might not even get the chance to shite the bed with as many OL as AU loses after this season. Next season could get real ugly real quick.

Its crazy how arky fans want Leach so bad, who hasn't done not one thing in the SEC, but are too good for GUS

Thankfully the OL is below average. Maybe the young guys will grow up and control the line of scrimmage again against an elite DL. Awe, the good old days.

I do not want Gus, but he is being pushed by some of the big wigs up in NW Arkansas.

And Long has made some terrible decisions in the football area.

But, one thing he has never done is not surprise everyone with the hire. If this is out and public, the chances it is Gus are going down a bit.

ANd please let it not be true...

I agree many are dumb, but I like Kiffin, so there is that.

Gus will win 8 or 9 games a year and every 5 years or so he will win 11 or more. Most programs would be ecstatic with those results. At Auburn, that will only get you an extension if those wins include being at least 50/50 against the biggest rivlas, bama and Georgia.

Now,no one would dispute that.

But Finebaum is still a nimrod. I'll give the guy credit. As annoying as he his he parlayed this schtick of having idiot Gumps call his show gushing over Thuh Todd and has gone big time.

His first year or two on the SEC Network he tried to be objective. Now since hes somewhat entrenched hes gone back to giving Saban pedicures. Alabama is indeed a great team and great program. But where Finebaum fails as a credible journalist is in his world if he praises Alabama,he must trash the other teams.

Why any fan base other than Alabama gives this clown the time of day is beyond me.

And then Auburn could hire a proven winner. A NC-caliber coach.

CHRIS DAVIS, the KICK SIX Specialist player that ran the ball all the way back against ALABAMA on the missed field goal.
