Not debating that. But I remember seeing a pic of him on AL.com at the time Chizik was HC, and the pic was of him in his office.

it's more like a desk and area he can go when here for extended periods. it symbolic, he doesnt actually do any work in the office and is maybe there a total of a few hours a year

Paul has zero connection at AU except the beat writers from the Birmingham News and his Bammer Buddies. Everyone forgets that Jetgate doesn't happen without Paul reporting it (TT went to him). He has nobody within Gus's Staff who will talk to him (remember the run-in with Gus's and Chizik's wives ?). The only one who will answer the phone if he calls is JJ, only because of his friendship with Slive. Like many on this site, Paul talks to Bama Fans for a lot of his information.

He does have one, fwiw. The shite that is ridiculous is that people think he has any decision making abilities. His office is merely a personal space on campus. We still pay him around 20k a year. But it's promotional/marketing/appearance related.

What payroll? He gets retirement from the state but does not receive money from Auburn. Open records laws and all.

He gets paid by the AD/TUF, not retirement. about 20k a year
