Where will UGA hang this, next to the SEC Championship, second place trophy?

Mizzou lost to common opponent LSU. Their OOC schedule was worse / no better than OM. I guess a moral victory against UGA gets you the higher ranking?

Ole Miss outscored SEC opponents by a combined 10 points. Mizzou outscored SEC opponents by a combined 104 points.

Ole Miss lost by an average of 22.5 points. Mizzou lost by an average of 9.5 points.

Ole Miss beat #10 Penn State. Mizzou beat #7 Ohio State.

Ole Miss had two wins against final top 25 teams. Mizzou had three wins against final top 25 teams.

Not really as relevant as you think.

These are relevant.

5. Alabama
6. Oregon
7. Missouri
8. Ole Miss

10. Florida State

I think it was a crime that Georgia was left out. I know Bama beat them but one loss in 2 years should have got them in. ???????

Makes no sense for Georgia to pass Alabama but not Texas. Georgia should be 3 or 5. If they pass Bama, they should have passed Texas. I have absolutely no problem with Georgia being 3.

Not saying that it should. However, Bama just beat UGA in the last game of the season and took the national champion to overtime. What in the world could be the argument for UGA being ranked ahead of Bama in the final poll? At some point what happens on the field has to matter and carry more weight than "I think team A would beat team B."

Then let's just put Texas above Alabama, despite Alabama taking Michigan to OT and Washington never trailing to Texas.

There is no right way.

Surely you've watched sports long enough to know the best team doesn't always win. For the record, I don't have a problem with Bama being over us, but they did lose two games. And we looked better throughout the whole season than they did. So there is an argument for the other.

You keep bringing up Texas even though no one else is and I've already agreed that the early season matchup shouldn't carry as much weight as the SEC Championship.

Stupid to put UGA ahead of Bama for obvious reasons.

Did that poll hurt your vagina?
The only part of the poll that matters is who finished first.

UGA won 92.9% of the time they took the field this season while Alabama and Texas both won 85.7% of the time, playing the same number of games. Better yet UGA lost half as many games as Alabama or Texas either one.

The AP poll is more of a beauty contest than the CFP poll which is a beauty contest itself...

How Washington, who obviously was not among the best 4 teams in CFB, and Oregon, who certainly wasn't, and FSU, who absolutely wasn't, is ahead of Ole Miss and Missouri who both played tougher regular season schedules than anyone in the top 10 not in the SEC is a travesty.

Who freaking cares if we are 2, 3, 4 or 5? They are all top 5 and not #1, which basically makes them all the same in my book.

I suspect none of that group really cares about moral victories.. we all want hardware.

UGA played FSU's 2nd and 3rd string players in their last game and Bama took the national champions to OT. Don't try to compare the two and Bama won the head to head in the SECCG. Come on, man.

UGA should be #2. Same winning % as Washington with a far tougher schedule. UGA played 4 of the top 9 going 3-1 and losing the one by a FG. Washington played 3 of the top 9 going 3-1 and getting blown out by 3 TDs in the loss.

UGA dropped 5 places losing by 3 points. Washington stayed at #2 by getting blown out by 3 TDs. It is a meaningless beauty contest in either the AP or CFP.

go look at Bama's games and tell me they didn't look a little shakey in a few of those. Bama is ranked too high.

Sorry but UGA has won 2 of the last 3 national championships, Bama has O. If anyone needs a moral victory its more likely your clan. Chin up you had a good run and your sister has a new pack of cigarettes. You can smoke one after
