Common sense will tell you they will have improved QB play. Can it regress?

I didn't know the 2nd team was supposed to be better than 1st team.

Let me guess, your lips move when you read that, right?
Okay, I'll type this slowly so even you get the point:
Basing any supposed QB improvement when the QB in question is facing the scrubs, combined with the fact he is wearing a no-contact jersey, is borderline laughable. If you're stating the fact your back-ups on D are dog shite, doesn't that pretty much negate the validity of the primary claim of marked QB improvement?
(Unless Draconian is subtly trolling his own purple brethren. In that case, kudos!)

The linebackers and secondary are good enough to be opponents to our first team offense considering the QBs we have. You specifically stated the pass rush, which is 2nd team defensive linemen going up against ELITE 1st team offensive linemen. Maybe you didn't notice, but our QB play was beyond disastrous last year as they lacked the basic understanding of the fundamentals of QB play most of the time. Any improvement we see in footwork, ball placement, vision, and throwing motion is a drastic improvement in itself, never mind it being against second team players.
If you want to see the pass rush that Steele and Orgeron are finally giving us, watch all of the 2nd team offense's reps against the 1st team defense. Godchaux and Lacouture are monsters inside and the DEs are coming along nicely.
