Arkansas-LSU have ended the regular season since 1992 when Arkansas joined the SEC. That is absolutely a tradition.
As for it being a meaningful game, it was last year, and it was in 2010.

No one here could say losing Arkansas and picking up Clemson or either Tech is an upgrade, lol.
IF so, stay in manufacturing.
From a national perspective, Clemson might be an upgrade and should be as easy to beat consistently as Arkansas has been. Ditto with Tech, if you're talking about Virginia.
And you've got a defective Magic 8 Ball.

Thank God we don't have an AD from Arkansas we would be Missouri. WVU makes more than Mizzou.

Track doesn't count for shite... it doesn't even generate revenue.
The 3 sports that generate revenue are Baseball, Football, and Basketball. Arkansas has very few championships of any kind in those 3 sports since being in the SEC.
Moving conferences because the date of a rivalry game changed is not a good business decision for a few reasons.
1. You are in the premier conference which generates the most revenue and media time. You'd be taking a step down in a move to any other conference.
2. Your schools endowment benefits your own school more than the SEC... winning bowl games and championships benefits the SEC. Something Arkansas does not dominate in, and your level of success could be easily replaced by another middle tier school.
3. You would lose gained revenue from bowl games, since the SEC splits up the bowl revenue and divides it among the conference. And the SEC goes to more bowls and generates more bowl game revenue than any other conference.
4. You are not a charter member and were invited to join the SEC. If you don't like it, then leave. I can guaran damn tee you we won't beg you to stay. Our conference is strong, and few schools would turn down the chance to become your replacement.
Might want to get off your high horse, and realize you're only riding a mule, not a Clydesdale.
Being in the SEC benefits ya'll more than ya'll benefit the SEC, and by no means do you have the upper hand in negotiation as do the schools like Bama, LSU, and Florida.

Everyone on this board would easily have a beer with him. Stupid rednecks back home have no idea how lucky we are to have him. Us sophisticated rednecks know better.

I'm just telling you that nobody in BR sees that as "tradition" they see it as "forced" and no LSU fan has ever circled the Arkansas game when the schedule comes out.

Well, for most people, 20 years of something is generally a tradition. Especially when you add the fact that it's been that way since it was first possible.
As for circling the schedule no, Arkansas doesn't circle LSU either. I meant meaningful, as in it possibly decided the Title Game last year, and decided the Sugar Bowl bid in 2010.

Everyone here is using perception of what they think. The facts are legit and google is your friend. Each school listed is below Arkansas in money and TV audience.
