I can't imagine going to school where it snows/cold constantly.

Oh, it's not constant! Really, December (when you're only in class 2 weeks), January (again, only 2 weeks of class or so) and February are cold. Fall and Spring are usually really nice here. And the summers are hot. There are definitely 4 distinct seasons.

It doesn't get any colder in college station than it does in BR, trust me. Prob the same latitude. Our campus is covered in oaks, azaleas, crepe myrtles, etc., and there's not a bloom to be had yet on any of em! Crazy. And we're supposed to have one of the nation's top horticulture programs!

Ill give you one of these, fo shizzle:

I hate the new BEC. Looks decent now but 10 years from now everyone will be like wtf were we thinking.
However the new Animal Science beside Tureaud is going to look good.

Thanks, bingo.

It's enough to make me vomit (when thinking about the fact that the memorial even exists--takes me instantaneously back to the nightmare that never ended); but we needed a place where we could go to heal & reflect. The families of the 12 we lost had the ultimate say w regard to selecting a design from the many responses to the design/construction RFP.

A crazy thing about the memorial/site where stack collapsed: There's always a surreal wind that blows out there. And if you listen closely, you can hear things. Good things.

That's what I was thinking. One thing Bama has done great with is incorporating old with the new. All the new buildings fit right in with the older part of campus.

I agree, one reason I like Alabama's campus. LSU actually has started the same thing in the late 90's early 2000's, all buildings have to be approved through a designee/planning board that forces the design to fit with the outlay of the rest of campus. Idk how this shite this was passed though

Yeah, we have had a couple but most look almost identical to the old architecture (Greek revival) with the same color brick as all the older buildings. Here's an example of a recent upgrade.

UT has a different type feel. Think a downtown, orange abomination.

When I think of these words, I think of this....

And to those who complimented Mizzou's campus....I should have added that the entire campus is designated a botanical garden. In addition to the architecture, the grounds are beautiful during our green months.

some of my favorite pictures of SEC campuses:

Doesn't really give you a good look at the whole LSU Law building but its just a personal favorite of mine.

Georgia's arch picture with the snow is very nice.

And I love Alabama's presidents house and the history behind it.

I gotta say. All the pics are pretty damn bad arse. Got a kid getting ready to start visiting colleges. I think y'all just convinced me to make it my goal to visit every one of the SEC schools before she's out of high school. Awesome stuff.

Idk why LSU tries to awkwardly plant palm trees in random places around campus. It might just be me but I hate it. Especially right infront of the Law School, Journalism Building, and Thomas Boyd. Looks tacky
